We're excited to welcome Uruguayan-based producer JonDeBruyne to the languages music family with his new progressive house track "Borealis", a stunning track that's guaranteed to get the dance floors moving! Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights, "Borealis" captures the essence of this natural phenomenon and translates it into a beautiful experience.

Moodfreak is back with another killer remix, bringing a fresh perspective to the track and showcasing their signature Berlin progressive house style.

The MiekeJames Remix, from the sibling duo from Vancouver, Canada, brings another unique touch to the track. We're stoked to have Mieke James on board with this remix, marking their debut on languages music.

The artwork for "Borealis" was once again designed by our talented Elisa, who impresses us with her versatility and creativity time and time again. We're thrilled with the result and think it perfectly complements the track.

This month's Mindcast is being delivered by no one other than Sorin Simon! Sorin has impressed us at a private party in London and we were so excited to invite him to our podcast series!

Sorin Simon has always been attracted to music and it all started in his childhood home of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he took piano lessons while still in school. The passion for music only grew as the years went by and as he started to go to different festivals, Sorin decided it was time for him to become a producer. So in 2006, he got himself some musical equipment and started learning the tricks all by himself.

That same year, he started playing music at some private parties for friends. Slowly, he was learning the craft and by the time he moved in Jersey, in the Channel Islands in the UK, he was ready for the big stuff. Soon enough, he was resident at one of the top clubs in the city.

Time went by and in 2017 Sorin moved definitively to London where he started playing different clubs all around the city. A year later, he signed to Vivus Records, an underground/independent and vinyl-only label from South Germany. Sorin has played at multiple festivals both in Romania and abroad such as Monegros Festival in Spain, Back To The Wild and Electric Castle in Romania.

As a producer, Sorin Simon’s dark and trippy soundscapes are reminiscent of the Romanian underground scene and his first track, O dimineață târzie, remains an unreleased jam, that has nonetheless over 100k views on Youtube. Since then, he released two EPs – Ecouri Paralele at Other Thoughts Records and the track Fragmente on the VA03 released by Vivus Records. 

Sorin aims to give the public the same lovely feeling he has when he encounters quality music and his mesmerizing and deep microhouse does just that. His goal was never to be a people pleaser, but to please the right people.

Currently, he is based in Bucharest and is quickly managing on making himself known as a DJ and producer on the underground scene. Also, he is the label owner of Unknown Series expressing interesting music lines and stir the crowd’s nosiness. During his minimal, trippy but swanky sound is defining a good feeling moment finding yourself dancing on vibrations. This new dj session explores the intersection between dubby basslines, clicky drums, avant-gardism and hypnotic micro-melodies, that shows a penchant for adventurous minimalism and demonstrates an impressive knowledge of both traditional Romanian dance floor sounds and electronic experimentations. She accurately nailed a sonic representation on what constitues the rominimal sound, which is deeply rooted into her native culture.

Her increasing success with Miromu is nothing but earned; in just a relatively short period of time the platform has become one of the most respected around Europe and beloved by many artists and music enthusiasts.
