It all began in 1969 when the rock band Flaming Bess got together in Düsseldorf. With the great successes of "Tanz der Götter" (1979) and "Verlorene Welt" (1981), the career of the musicians really took off. Since then, Flaming Bess have produced five more albums. With their album "Der gefallene Stern" the band had again a strong and positive response in the trade press in 2013; the loyal fan community was simply thrilled.
The band then very consciously took their time to compose twelve convincing songs for their current album: The new songs on „WRINKLE OF TIME“ are complex and therefore needed time to grow - they are journeys into the world of Flaming Bess , journeys with plenty of depth and surprising twists.
In the title song WRINKLE OF TIME, the band's history is told in a metaphorical way: "Now here we are again at the end of an age..." This time, the lyrical and musical concept which is typical for Flaming Bess is also a retrospective of everything that was, in what has happened over the past decades, which is what the band is emotionally concerned with today.
Flaming Bess put a lot of heart and soul into their current project: "We gave everything until our souls were dry..." - and that's unmistakable.
The new album is rounded off by a 24-page booklet with very personal lyrics - and of course everything in a high-quality presentation. It describes the band's history and documents statements by individual band members about the process of creating their latest album. The result is a document of decades of deep friendship and intense collaboration between Flaming Bess: 
"In our hearts we decided, we will never be divided".
In any case, WRINKLE OF TIME is a MUST for all friends of melodic, progressive Rockmusic

Mit WRINKLE OF TIME veröffentlichen Flaming Bess ein neues Album – den Aussagen der Bandmitgliedern nach ihr abschließendes und bestes Werk.

Alles begann mit der Gründung im Jahr 1969 und nahm mit dem großen Überraschungserfolg von „Tanz der Götter“ (1979) und „Verlorene Welt“ (1981) richtig Fahrt auf. Seitdem haben Flaming Bess fünf weitere Alben produziert und hatten 2013 mit dem Album „Der gefallene Stern“ erneut eine starke positive Resonanz in der Fachpresse und von der treuen Fangemeinschaft.

In den zurückliegenden Jahren hat die Band sich viel Zeit gelassen, 12 einzigartige Songs für ihr neues Album zu komponieren. Die Songs auf WRINKLE OF TIME sind vielschichtig und ausgereift – es sind Reisen in die Welt von Flaming Bess. Reisen mit reichlich Tiefgang und überraschenden Wendungen.

Im Titelsong WRINKLE OF TIME wird zwischen den Zeilen die Bandgeschichte auf metaphorische Weise erzählt: „Now here we are again at the end of an age…“
So ist auch das für Flaming Bess typisch lyrische und musikalische Konzept dieses Mal eine Retrospektive auf all das, was schon geschehen ist.

In dieses Projekt haben Flaming Bess ihr Herzblut gesteckt: „We gave everything until our souls were dry…“ und das ist unüberhörbar.

Abgerundet wird das Album mit einem sehr persönlichen 24-seitigen Booklet und einer hochwertigen Aufmachung. Es enthält sowohl die Bandgeschichte als auch Statements der Bandmitglieder über den Entstehungsprozess des Albums und die jahrzehntelange tiefe Freundschaft und Zusammenarbeit als Flaming Bess.

Wrinkle Of Time

"Shadows of Dawn" erzählt die fiktive Geschichte des Mädchens Dawn. Dawn ist ein begabtes kleines Mädchen mit brilliantem Verstand das im Laufe seines Lebens aber immer mehr mit den Schatten des Alltags und zerstörten Träumen durch die äusseren Umstände zu kämpfen hat. 
Die Idee zum Song entstand während der Corona Pandemie welche besonders die Kinder und Jugendliche getroffen hat und immer noch trifft.
Lernprobleme, Depressionen, Einsamkeit und Verzweiflung, Psychosen wie Essstörungen oder fehlende soziale Kompetenzen greifen zunehmend um sich und legen einen Schatten über unsere Kinder und die Gesellschaft, machen uns anfällig für fake news und zunehmenden Hass auf alles um uns herum.. 
Wie so oft trifft es Kinder aus ärmeren Familien besonders hart: Kinder von Alleinerziehenden, aus Familien mit Migrationshintergrund, diejenigen, die in beengten Wohnverhältnissen leben oder psychisch belastete Eltern haben.
Im Song schafft es Dawn aber den Schatten zu entkommen und neue Hoffnung zu schöpfen. So steht sie auf und nimmt Ihr Schicksal selbst in die Hand. Wir wünschen uns das solche Beispiele auch im realen Leben häufiger werden und das die nächste Generation brilliant die notwendigen Schritte dafür geht.

Flamin Bess - Cold Comes The Night

Mindmovie 

has been playing in various bands for almost a lifetime. He started out as a guitarist, and still loves this instrument for all it has to offer. Yet time never stops, and much has changed since Mindmovie laid hands on his first second-hand six-string. Today, his main focus is more on the production and composition of all kinds of electronic, pop and rock music, and the sounds of his guitar have become just one ingredient to be added to a new tune, albeit a very special one. 

Apart from his work as a composer, collaborater and solo artist, Mindmovie is currently involved in several other  band projects, the first of which is Flaming Bess, a progressive rock band founded in the late 60s. The second is "Marquette (Markus Roth - Keys, Mindmovie -Guitars) which  has so far released one Album titled "Human Reparation" and last but not least a band project with Mike Hartman (vocals) Markus Roth(keys) Mindmovie (guitars) which released their debut album "Horizontal Ascension" in 2016.
