”DITD (Dancer In The Dark)” is a headnodding monster of a tune,  bridging the gap between past and present, future x history, and between half timed beats & faster tempos with its clever percussive work. ”Back To 33 (ft Shakk)” is an eerie darkside stepper. Analogue bass notes and oldskool pads bring the live kicks, snares and rides together into a most satisfying whole. Again, these are deep beats for the discerning junglist.

Mindscape & BTK - 'Road Rage'
The musical talents of Mindscape collide with those of Brazillian
producer BTK in the eponymous 'Road Rage'. BTK has seen a
meteoric rise to prominence over the past few years as he's
continued to push the boundaries drum & bass, merging the
genre's organic urban sensibility with his own local flavor. A
perfect match for Mindscape's unmistakably dirty sound. 'Road
Rage' wastes no time building the energy from the outset, air-like
soundscapes surrounding crisp drums, faint eerie pads, and rude
vocal samples cut-to-pieces with BTK's usual flare. The energy
comes to a head as the duo goes in hard with raucous sub-bass,
surgically precise drums and percussion, and a stabbing, chaotic
reece. Variations in percussion and atmosphere are subtle and calculated; the result cannot be understated.

Piano Interrupted, the anglo / french duo formed by Tom Hodge and Franz Kirmann is a musical entity in continuous reinvention, their music constantly evolving and transforming from concert to concert, record to record. Studio compositions are deconstructed for live shows, becoming brand new pieces, which in turn serve as a basis for future new compositions, like a never-ending “mise en abyme”
It was just a question of time then before the pair turned to other producers to ask them to rework their music. Concentrating exclusively on material from their last LP “The Unified Field”, Piano Interrupted invited a handful of artists and producers from Denovali Records' roster including Hidden Orchestra, Floex, Origamibiro, John Lemke, Saffronkeira and Second Moon Of Winter to reinvent some of their compositions. Oscillating between dub, techno, abstract hip hop, ambient and post-classical, each interpretation offers a completely fresh approach to the work, sometimes barely recognisable, and sheds new light on the infinite directions that Piano Interrupted's intricate compositions can be taken.
“The Unified Field Reconstructed” is a reminder of the possibilities and a promise of more exquisite exploration in the duo's 3rd album, scheduled for later this year, based on recordings taking place in Senegal (where Franz spent his childhood) in February 2015.

We are pleased to welcome Survival & Silent Witness back to Dispatch for their next release, entitled the ‘Trust No One EP’. Featuring two incredible new tracks from the duo, the EP also includes remixes of 2013 “In From The Wild” album track, ‘Fletcher’. 

Rolling it out with decisive force and in signature style from the duo, two original tracks from Survival & Silent Witness kick off the EP. 

With a surge in energy capable of causing nothing short of carnage on the dancefloor, ‘Trust No One’ sets things off, in a clamoring exchange between mechanical entities. 

Building the intro in merciless, near apocalyptic fashion, ‘Cutter’ is the next to follow on the EP, as resounding low ends terrorize irrefutably beneath tightly chopped breaks.

Emerging from our ‘Fletcher’ remix competition as the overall winner, Slovakian based Minor Rain comes correct with a fantastically balanced re-work, retaining the musicality of the original, echoing the emotions over a dark, more stripped back core. 

Although only intending to release one winner, we had no choice but to select two runner-up submissions to be released in addition, upon hearing an array of top quality entries, with a thunderous re-fix by Depth Mode and a gritty 140 flip from Diecast.

BTK, Maztek & Optiv - Footprint

This track pretty much explains itself. The name doesn't stand for anything, it is just 'Simple' with the vowels removed, hence the vocal sample. This one was inspired by the minimal era that came around a few years ago, old Rockwell, Icicle, Amoss, and Octane & DLR tracks that were bare bones, but not. They had all the needed to have, and that's something that's extremely hard to do nowadays without sounding empty.

SCAR are back on Headz with their most accomplished EP to date. 
The release kicks off with 'Caged', a subbed out banger with skipping drums and rave stabs and mid range accents. Confident and bashy, it's sure to be a big tune. 
Track two is 'Free Fall' w/ Artificial Intelligence where both production duos team up on a stepping track with screwface bass. The mood is lightened by the vocal refrain gliding over the top bringing another element to the track. 
'Your Move' follows, a soulful jungle track , it’s all about the light pads Vs the rough drums. 'Fall From Grace' takes the jungle aesthetic and pushes it further with clever edits and big basslines. 'Return To Swerve' says exactly what it does on the tin- takes it back to the days where the soulful mid weeker reigned supreme, a great end to a great EP.

We figured it was time for some d&b again, we had a few tracks lying around for a while that we wanted to finish and put out and we had 2 collabs that went well together. We wanted to call it the 'Tryhard EP', cause all the tracks were so full on. Then Nik & Karol (khomatech.com) started on the artwork, and couldnt really come up with anyuthing cool with that name, so we decided 'Imperial' was a better name. The artwork took about a week to make. We are very proud of this EP.

Imperial w/ Phace 
Phace came out to Groningen again, as he tends to do, to do music. We started this one without working on the main groove first, Florian had brought this awesome chord progrssion. We made the intro and progression from it, which is quite different musically from our normal stuff. Then we went a bit theatrical with the music, i guess we kind of suprised ourselves with the intensity of the drop. But it was refreshing to do. And it´s been going down rather well in our sets..

Tryhard 
This is an older track that has had quite a few incarnations. It used to be called ´lomp´, which translates to crude, or blunt. We had it lying around unfinished for a long time, and a certain youtube set rip was getting a lot of love, so we figured we'd finish it. Changed the mix, added a rollout section, etc. One of the inspriations for this track is Bad Company - 'Dogfight'.. such a sick tune.

Dustup w/ The Upbeats 
Our friends The Upbeats came down to Groningen amidst one of their Europe tours and we hung out, got in the studio, found an old unused bass riff, used it in the buildup, recorded all of us going 'HA' and 'ZU', worked on drum fills for a long time, temporarly called the tune 'Pumpers', jumped around in the studio and voila! 'Dust Up' was born.

Containment 
This track has had many faces also. It started as a bit of a Kemal tribute and and an attempt to do as many things with synths as possible, like the main drums for example (FM8). Along the way it became a journey back into the dark spacious sound of early 2000 era D&B.
