Italian DJ/producer, The Southern, returns to the EI8HT label after 2020’s ‘Raw Culture’ EP, with another collection of bass bin rattling, high octane, techno bangers on the ‘Raw Break’ EP.  

Since his last appearance on Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s label, The Southern has notched up releases for Truncate, Say What?, Tronic, and his own rawthing. label, amongst others.

‘Come With Me’ boots things off in fine fettle, as incessant organ stabs and reverb-soaked pads tuck into a clap happy drum workout that really soars.  Granite hard beats and metallic hats carve through ‘Raw Culture’, as its vocal gets pulverised, whilst ‘Raw Organ’ slides into Chi-town jackin’ tech territory, with a nod to the Dance Mania style and a slammin’ vibe stamped all over it.  ‘Trax Jam’ closes this stellar EP, again, showing The Southern’s more housier chops, whilst still keeping the energies spiralling.

PREMIERE: Andy Mart - Save Me [Say What?]

Paco Osuna's label Mindshake drops a techno release from Uncertain, a veteran techno producer who's been putting out tracks since the '90s.

Uncertain has recently dropped new releases on other influential techno labels ranging from Dense & Pika's Kneaded Pains to Coyu's Suara.

This three-track release is the much anticipated follow up to Uncertain's last Mindshake release that dropped in February 2021, and picked up DJ support by some of the genres leading club spinners.

Creating hypnotic grooves with high velocity rhythms and analogue synth lines, Uncertain has a timeless style with peak time energy.
"Substance" opens the release with its tribal percussion loop and stabbing synth chords before the dark atmosphere and jacking vocals of "Essence". Closing out the release is "Motion" with its carnival style groove and rippling synth line.

Paco Osuna's record label Mindshake drops a new EP from Italian techno artist The Southern, who is well-known for having a dark and driving style with explosive energy and industrial textures.

This particular release opens with a groovy house track titled “Loop Like This”, then the following two tracks return to his usual hard-hitting techno style.

The Southern is making his debut on Mindshake following many top-selling releases on other record labels such as Truncate, Suara, Tronic, KD RAW and Odd Recordings.

“Loop Like This” opens the release with its funk-fuelled bassline, chunky percussion and hip hop inspired vocal sample, before the bleeping melody and fast-paced percussion of “I Get Deep” leads things down a techno path. “Ain” closes the release with its pounding kick drum and hypnotic groove that fuses acid synths with thrashing percussion.

Hassler may be a new name to many, but the man behind the new pseudonym is known for a steady run of techno tunes for his globally renowned Suara label.  Iván Ramos AKA Coyu has been dishing up four to the floor bangers since the mid-2000’s, and with his new Hassler project, aims to “not just release house music, but also to not follow the rules, allowing me to release whatever I think it’s fun, groovy and makes me dance”.

Having already released on Patrick Topping’s Trik imprint, and Mele’s Club Bad, Hassler now tees up the ‘How Good Were The After Parties’ EP for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT label.

A trio of rollicking, drum driven belters can be found on this release, with Hassler EQing and filtering each track with maximum power!  Funky and functional, energetic and raw, every one of these fires on all cylinders!
