This recording I have held very close to me for about two years now. It has played the soundtrack to many varying moods and emotions, through the ups and downs. Thought it was time I had shared it with the world and hope that the sounds resonate with you just as much as they have with me.

Morocco was such an incredible experience for us on our 2019 road trip through the dry and desert landscapes. From the food and the culture to the streets and the shadows, it was quite an eye opener to say the least.

One of my favourite spots was the time we spent in Chefchaouen, (The Blue Pearl شفشاون الجوهرة الزرقاء﻿). Laneways full of hustle and bustle, walls stained with history and the hazy aroma of hash lingered throughout the streets. The atmosphere was eery, mystical and colourful.

We found a rather shady character in a back alley that offered to take us up to the Hash fields in the mountains. Along our journey and from our friends, this was something that we had to check out. The next day we jumped in our van and headed up the mountain in search of these so called fields. Twisting and turning up the face of the hills, unsure of what we should expect upon arrival. It was everything you could have imagined, and the experience was pretty surreal. 

After our adventures for the day, we headed back to the hostel we were staying at in the city and convinced the owner of the place to let us set the decks up on the roof and play some music for sunset.

This set was completely unplanned and impromptu. Digging through collections of music I had been listening to in the past but never really had a chance to play to the right setting. Everything flowed together so naturally and the track selection I feel fits the vibe so well.

Picture this. You're playing to a rooftop full of your friends after spending the day in the hash fields. Another friend of yours is cooking up a big feed in the rooftop kitchen to your left, a few people swaying and moving to the sounds in front of you, then to your right, are lounges, hammocks and floor cushions, everyone kicking back, getting ripped. The sun is setting over the city and mountain skyline behind you, with not a worry or qualm in the world. Enjoy.
