This EP represents Deviceful's journey in exploring new ways to express the depths of sound and to tell stories through music. As the tracks unfolded, it became clear that music holds color, and color holds music; the two join as an evolving, gradient landscape of vision, imagination, and technology, connected to our lives—a true Gradient Drift.

A special mention goes to track 2, Construct Dust. Several years ago, Ott visited Don Brown, aka Deviceful, at his studio.while he was in town (they had been in touch for years, and it was great to finally have a proper visit for a few days). After experimenting with some gated chords, DBX compressors, Ott’s incredible bass line, and some backing percussion, a groove emerged. It was just a short construct, though, and ultimately ended up in the hard drive dustbin. Ott believed it deserved to become a full track, so here it is—even if “soon” turned into years. His original bass line is still in the intro, and the final creation stays true to it.

Far off in the distance, as the isolated traveler stared from a great mountain of towering pines, an influx of perplexing lights and rotating gears expressed an utter brilliance that would impress even the mightiest of deities. Spiraling in all directions, stretching towards the far ends of the infinite cosmos, the interesting sounds of this echoing world painted the mechanical realm with a profound wonder as it mystically hovered over a crystal blue lake. Reflecting against the calm and still water below, the ironesque kingdom of misty steam and lively steel caressed each other in inspiring harmony, collaborating to give birth to a fascinating, auditory orchestration. To the surprise of the newly arrived guest, the Refractions on the Lake were calm and inviting. The explorer took one last look at the strange woods they had emerged from, and they began their climb into the unknown spectrums of this Floating Machine.

'Noosfære’ refers to the sphere of human thought and aims to create musical journeys that allow for - and drive - the exploration of the inner worlds of thoughts, feelings and other mind-bending abstractions of the human mind. It is about tuning into one’s emotional states of being and the transformational process that arises within the listener. 

 Behind 'Noosfære" is the danish music producer Jesper Skovgaard. He holds a Masters Degree in the field of Sound and Music Computing and makes use of field recordings, electronically generated sounds and analogue produced sounds to explore a vast array of expressions in his works. 'Noosfære" is his own little one-man army, and he composes, records and produces all of the material himself.

He has been signed on Microcosmos Records since 2015, with many releases on various record labels around the globe in his background. After releasing Soma and 22:22 albums Cubering gained recognition as a master of ambient and chillout. His music delivers conscious and delicate sound design featuring tedious work and musical experience. 

Mirage is a piece of music craftwork in synth sequences framed within airy pads and curvy rhythms.
