Roman revisits Mindspring, dropping the Leftism alias and moving forward as Zen Core. His inspiration comes from nature, and the whole of the cosmos itself. Entropy is embodied in this work, by temporarily breaking The Law of Entropy – to create order from disorder. Although, he has slowed the BPM down from his usual Psytrance pace, they are no less energetic. The feel ranges from edgy and rough to smooth and bouncy. Look out for more Zen Core releases, as new tracks bubble up from the spring.

// About This Mix

In anticipation of my upcoming release with Mindspring Music via The Psychedelic Muse, I wanted to release this as a fresh perspective on the work I've been doing lately. 

If people dig what they hear in the Mindspring mix, I want them to have something to dig deeper into with my other material.

This mix is a dark, twisted adventure through the haunting corridors of dark psychedelic electronica; technical, groovy, intelligent soundscapes weaving together intricate tapestries of lush and deep sounds touching psychill, idm, psydub, glitch, breaks, jazz, psybient, techno, and with excursions into the abstract and back.

Sonic scapes of sound and substance may rouse the keen ear into discovery. When one really listens, everything is music, and when one really experiences, one is everything. This is the theme of "I The Beholder", the absolute power one has on their perception and Aeonium's desire to use this for good, for the manifestation of beauty. 

Over 4 years in the making, I The Beholder incorporates absolutely everything the Dutch multi-instrumentalist has in his repertoire, from several instrumentations on piano, santur, handpan and many more, to tape, synthesizer and field recording, all fuzzed through the creative process of digital production. From oriental house to wicked shuffles, from dubby basslines to ambient textures, this album represents the variety of music and their possible fusions when the listener sets their mind to really listening and taking this process as an active endeavor. Greatly enhanced by the beautiful sounds of Nienke Deiter, Frodi Fransman and Namasterri.
