Writing stories. Since the song included the lyrical word "Gemini" the song was created by trying to rephrase the "The Gemini's TwoFacedness" through the twisting and bending audio into an audible galaxy of acting within a persons sodiac.

Two Faced (Natascha Polké – El Tony Producer Academy 2025 Remix)

My application to the El Tony Producer Challenge 2025.
The original title was "Mineral Walter's slightly acidic version"


The backstory of the track is that I was pretty busy with life during the approx. two weeks I had for its production.  I heard a nice idea in my mind while just fooling around with the vocal sample, quickly creating a minute-long loop of drums and a bass line in about five minutes. I listened to that loop repeatedly for the next few days. As the deadline approached, I hadn't had time to develop it further. The day before the deadline, I finally had a day off, and in that single day, I produced the entire track, transforming the initial sketch into what you hear now.

I initially struggled to improve the sound "in the box," so I replaced almost everything with hardware synths. The track was sequenced with a hardware sequencer, the vocal was loaded into a sampler, and the delays and reverb were handled by outboard units. I then recorded everything, one by one, through a Mackie 1604 mixer with the effects applied. All the synth tweaks and even the vocal's delay feedback were done manually while recording. The resulting sound feels like a bit of the mid-90s because the track was essentially produced using 90s methods.

I'm pretty proud of how it turned out, even if other entries sound much more polished.
