All genres come the same to me. I was there at the painful birth of jungle in the early 90s at raves in the south of England but early on I was a teeny goth. I don’t read any press or listen to radio and try and not let anything influence my taste other than if I like the sound of it. I have something like 8k artists in my library and like to keep it fresh - generally if a track gets 10 plays it’s doing very well.
I generally get new releases (at least new on the site I buy from)and am on a legacy deal which is very good value and is all independent labels but I’m dipping my toe into streaming and don’t want to give my money to the big services. I did get an invite to Spotify in the very early days of that (when they were trying to be ‘exclusive’)but didn’t get involved as I do like physically (even if it is digital!)owning the music
I’m still sussing out this site so any help/advice in building this page is gratefully accepted. I'ma dunce when it comes to this sort of thing, pretty damn lazy and as artistic as a flea with constipation. I also loose interest very fast so I could be off in a few weeks having got bored with it all!
My taste is transient in that I'm rarely listening in July to what i was in March and I build playlists of eps, all genres from punk to eastern european industrial dnb to dubstep to Korean hip hop, all points between and sometimes a bit of everything.
I'm on 'TuneMyMusic' and linked my last.fm library but i have no idea what that has actually done apart from put 900 artists in my 'following' folder! 
I'd like to help some of the artists to get heard as it astounds me that some of them aren't at least a bit more popular but I'm under no illusions that anybody is going be getting a hit because of my endorsement.
I'm a chilled person generally, am not on social media and don't get involved in any of the nonsense that goes with it. I'm what's known as an 'early adopter and an earlyfuckeroffer' as I joined myspace, facebook and twatter early on but also left long before they became the shitstorm they are today.

NYC's Dares draw influences​ ​from​ late '70s post-punk to​ ​'80s and '90s ​American Indie Underground​. Comprised of Mario Santana​, Devin O'Daniel​, Alden Farrar and Alexis Rhode, Dares began recording with Ben Greenberg (Uniform, Hubble, The Men, Pygmy Shrews) in 2015, and released their debut 7" vinyl spring of 2017.
