Este EP es un reencuentro conmigo mismo, con música que vengo arrastrando desde niño por influencia de mis padres y de mi entorno en general.

Es muy ambiguo tratar de entender o expresar un tema concreto cuando la voz no está cantando o narrando a detalle así que se puede y se vale interpretar las canciones de este ep a como el corazón de cada quien lo sienta; sin embargo muy en el fondo todo el ep hace alusión a Apetlanca, un poblado en una sierra en el estado de Guererro en México.

We met @luimafuta thanks to our friends from @downvienna at a wild party at Fluc in Vienna in 2019 . We spend some nice days together and feel in love with his live set. When Jonas aka @KlangDruide then send us " A Spoon full of honey" as release proposal earlier this year, we directly had to think of Lui and knew this would be a great match. Lui took his friend Puste along with his trumpet and out came this beauty of a track. Due to Corona we could not enjoy their live performance at Klunkerkranich last Saturday the 14.03, but we hope the song puts a smile on your face where ever you are right now. 

As always with Hug Records 50% of the profit raised with this track are donated to the Water Project from @Love-Foundation. The other 50% are split equally between Artist and Label.

Ogun or Ogoun is a god that appears in several African religions.
He is awarrior and a powerful spirit of metal work, as well as of
rum and rum-making. He is also known as the 'god of Iron', and is present in Yoruba religion, Haitian Vodou, andWest African Vodun.
In Yoruba religion, Ogun is a primordial orisha who first appeared as a hunter named Tobe Ode. He is said to have been the first Orisha to descend to the realm of Ile Aiye ("Earth"), to find a suitable place for future human life. In some traditions, he is said to have cleared a path for the other gods to enter Earth, using a metal ax and with the assistance of a dog. To commemorate this, one of his praise names, or oriki, is Osin Imole or the "first of the primordial Orisha to come to Earth". He is the god of war and metals. The next drink in our glass is served to you by the marvelous Armenian musician Moon’s Voyager. His tracks, in which he gives oriental harmonies a danceable character, deal with the diversity of life in all its manifestations.

The first track on the EP is called "The Blue Shoeshiner" and the outstanding piano melody takes us back to a time when saloons and juke boxes still where a big thing. The two remixes by Samaha and MONKYMAN take up the basic idea of the track and give it their own flavor in a unique way.

The second track with the title "The Bride’s of Moks", tells the story of an ancient Armenian province in all its beauty and grace. Modern electronic revisions were contributed by nutia and Antaares.

As usual we want to thank all artists involved, as well as Kilian Van De Water for the outstanding artwork and Haunted Water for the flawless mastering.

Strong winds are sending heavy clouds into our sight and rain is beginning to pour. Mother earth is wettened one last time, followed by a long lasting drought.
We are delighted to share the first EP of Karbana (@user-765434859) with you. The peculiar duo dug deep in their trick boxes and created two unique masterpieces. The remixes by Lui Mafuta (@luimafuta) & Puste, Gottlieb Scheppert (@gottlieb-scheppert) and Judith Ahrends(@judith-ahrends) each add a unique flavour, all coming together as one well rounded journey.
