As he is a true globetrotter — never being able to stay in one place for a longer period of time — it came naturally to him to feature this trait in his first release. So it happens that he combined African, Indian, Japanese and Berlinese voices and soundscapes into a charming and unique selection of global tracks, just like an international cappuccino of music.

Andi Otto - Manu Roto

Habib Koite was born in Senegal back in 1958 but he's based in Mali. His band, Bamada, is a supergroup of West African musicians. Koité is known primarily for his unique approach to playing the guitar by tuning it on a pentatonic scale and playing on open strings. His music got influences from Blues or Flamenco and his vocals style is calm and relaxing.
