An artist issued from the vivid 80's French alternative Rock scene, Patrick Coutin is first and foremost known to the French audience for his 1981 hit "J'aime Regarder Les Filles".

Released in 1990, as a bonus track of a re-issue of his first album, "Fais-moi Jouir" is definitely hotter in term of lyrics, but as much fun. Its cool laid-back rythm inspired me this reggae-flavored DJ-friendly edit.

"This is our fifteenth Waterways event and second to feature a guest. Sam Bordenave (La Fortune) will play a selection of tracks and field recordings that follow a similar format established in past Waterways. Sam DJs regularly throughout San Francisco and we are excited to bring his knowledge and taste of music to Problem Library for a new perspective on Waterways.

From the beginning, Waterways has been an experiment in how we orient ourselves toward music and how posture directs our ability to receive and feel beauty. If music is the most clear language of emotion, we have wanted to create a format that allows us to experience it completely."

Heading back to Australia for this week’s mix, with Melbourne-based wonder - Millú (https://soundcloud.com/millydavison). Originally from the coastal town of Mt Eliza, she’s laid the groundwork in the past few years to becoming a staple in the scene. As a regular host to Melbourne’s 3RRR radio, holding the monthly show, ‘Dischord’ on Skylab Radio, she also stands as a resident for both Club D’erange and Wax’o Paradiso. The prior being and outlet for all things “dark and absurd”, while the latter channels the daytime party affair.  

No stranger to peculiar and opaque sounds, her set takes listeners on a bit of journey through the arcane and ritualistic surroundings. Millú doesn’t shy away from putting local acts and imprints forward - including tracks from https://soundcloud.com/nitefleit (https://soundcloud.com/steelcitydancediscs), Louis Marlo (https://soundcloud.com/felt-sense-recordings), and https://soundcloud.com/phran 's new project ‘Ivan’ via Best Effort Records (https://soundcloud.com/ken-oath-records).
