Vek Neirbo is the unruly alter-ego moniker of longtime U.S. based DJ and producer, Kev Obrien. 

Recently relocated in the Mile High City of Denver, Vek's musical focus is honed in on tripped-out, hypnotic minimal, tech house, and breakbeat -- best served after 4am, when the party is at its freakiest.  

This particular set was recorded at a private afterhours in Denver, Colorado during the early morning hours. 

In the daylight hours, he works full time as a Label Manager for underground labels such as Superlux Records, Eyedyllic Music, Moteur Ville Musique, and others -- collectively releasing music from artists such as Akufen, Delano Smith, Jay Tripwire, Mike Shannon, Robert James, Subb-An, Voigtmann, and many others.

With nearly 20 years behind the decks and 10 years producing on a wide range of quality labels like Bondage Music, Spclnch, Moxy Music, Mixcult, Get Physical & more, this mix features some of his productions and edits both releases and unreleased as well as some gems from the late 90s and 2000s.

Eric shares: "Childhood to me conjures so many emotions and themes. Some of the tracks are fun, airy and open which remind me of Summer vacations at the (Jersey) shore. Then there are other aspects of childhood such as anger, frustration, winning, growth, fun, & looking forward to the future."

"Love Boi" – a percussion-heavy, seven-minute journey with deep subs and dreamy synths. The title track "Soft Baddies" follows, with groovy percussion and trippy acid. On the flip, Luise reimagines "Love Boi" with hypnotic atmospheres and bouncy bass, while Antja strips it back to raw, dubby drums and heavy low-end.

Born in Honduras and based in Chicago, Nestor Arriaga is an electronic music producer and performer crafting sounds that bridge minimal, house, deep, and breakbeat. With roots in modular synthesis and a self-taught approach to production, his music blends technical precision with emotional depth.
Drawing influence from 80s textures, jazz, funk, and classical, Nestor shapes grooves that are both introspective and built for the dancefloor. Inspired by artists like Joris Voorn, Stefano Noferini, and Stephan Bodzin, his sound balances rhythm, melody, and atmosphere in equal measure.

Having performed across the Americas and Europe, Nestor Arriaga is known for immersive, dynamic DJ sets. He’s currently working on several upcoming EPs and developing a hybrid live show that fuses hardware performance with modular synthesis for a truly unique experience.

VELVET is back with an EP from Madrid based artist Alvaro Medina. Founder of Jazzy, presents this EP which includes two original tracks plus two remixes, Djebali and the owners of the JNJS label.

An EP with support from Enzo Siragussa, Raresh, Arapu and a long etc that mixes minimal, hiphop and techhouse sounds.

Minimal Hertz is a Music Collective and a Music Event focussed on the underground music scene, our aim and mission is for music inclusivity both from behind the decks and on the dance floor. As the music we listen to and the equipment we use to make it develops - we are often left in a predicament and often focus too much on what the name of the style/genre we are listening to or we get stuck in a box of a certain style. 

As a result we aim to have our DJ’s & Artists we work with to curate a journey with no boundaries to the styles of music they select within the dance music scene, (Not to be confused with Open Format) From this approach we hope to have dance floors that are blended in unison motion and that are free to express themselves and DJ sets that are not limited in set durations and set times. 

In the same light of not being limited by boundaries - we do not have a fixed base as the brand is carried by the individuals associated with Minimal Hertz and exists wherever they are in the world. We hope and aim to create intimate events around the world where we feel our energy is best reciprocated. We will have a limited use “phone policy” on our floors in light of allowing people to fully express themselves. 

We hope to work with similar minded artists and venue managers/owners who share the same goal and vision we do.
