Just after hearing a Bordello A Parigi centric mix on IntergalacticFM and remembered one of nothing but tracks from the label was made just at the beginning of the lockdown. 

The mix was based around the reissue of Skatebård’s Color Negatives EP, with all three tracks featuring, while digging deep into the Bordello back catalogue to unearth early gems and contemporary classics.

J.A.Z. is an artist name of John Zahl. DJ, edit expert, passionate record collector and episcopal church minister currently based in Bedford, Upstate New York.
Originally from New York City, John was influenced by his fathers record collection, after spending some time studying in UK, John moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where he threw OFF/BEAT and Episco-Disco parties.

DJ City recently stepped out of the Stockholm underground and into the world with a number of releases on labels like Born Free, Cocktail d'Amore and Public Possession. His style is romantic, often referencing Italo and sounds of Chicago, sometimes even with a hint of eurodisco. In his lyrics however, he tends to describe the easy jet-set world of clubbing as we knew it before lockdown, with drugs, sex and dark dance floors.

En esta ocasión tenemos un set muy especial con el Live de nuestro amigo @JackWasFaster realizado para el showcase de @rotten-city-records en colaboración con @HonestAllies y @Ballestaclub donde probó varios tracks en los que ha trabajado estos meses. 

En cuanto al equipo involucrado utilizó los sonidos de los Elektron Octatrack, MPC500, DSI mopho desktop, Cyclone TT303, boss blues driver BS2  y un delay tc electronic flashback x4, y otros que incorporará en breve a su nuevo live set.

Tras su paso por la banda Fira Fem (Aloud, Subterfuge) con la que se presentó en los festivales más destacados del país (Sónar, Primavera Sound, FIB, SOS, BBK), Manu Cachero se esconde bajo el alias JackWasFaster para dar rienda suelta a su pasión por la música electrónica.
En sus producciones, DJ sets y live shows, se centra en explorar la cara más sintética del disco, la electrónica de tinte post, el balearic oscuro, la herencia post-punk o el acid más crudo y underground.

En 2020 ha producido tracks para sellos como Inflect (UK), para su casa habitual, Rotten City y estrena un nuevo proyecto de cariz más experimental junto a su partner Johnston&Johnston, bajo el  nombre de Indies With Microkorgs.

Today we have a very special set with the live session of our friend @jackwasfaster , recorded during the @rotten-city-records showcase in @ballestaclub

Regarding the technical gear, he used Elektron Octatrack, MPC500, DSI mopho desktop, Cyclone TT303, boss blues driver BS2, and more.

After playing in many festivals like Sonar, Primavera Sound, FIB, BBK, with his band Fira Fem, Manu Cachero started his own path in the electronic music scene with his JackWasFaster alias. During his sets, mixes, productions, and live shows, he always focuses on pretty synthetic disco sounds, post punk, dark balearic, or even the most raw and underground acid. 

During this 2020 he's produced tracks for labels like Inflect (UK) and Rotten City. Manu is also starting a new project with a more experimental side, alogside Johnston & Johnston, called Indies With Microkorgs.

The first Phase Group Mix of 2021 comes to us from Frank D'Arpino, a local of Dusseldorf and resident of the Salon Des Amateurs known for his brilliant radio shows on Dublab.de. Frank has been playing music for people since the early 90s, with an open minded approach that finds harmony and evolution in mixing differing types and speeds of music together, advocating for "belief in unconventional music on the dancefloor". For us he's put together a mind-melting hour of low velocity, space age, tribal electronics and industrial level trip hop. Thanks Frank!
