His style is something else — wonky, deep, heavy-hitting, and always unpredictable. He’s got that rare ability to tap into the darker edges of sound and bring a real intensity to the dancefloor. You can feel the energy shift when he plays. This mix is a perfect example of why we rate him so highly. Earthum blends vinyl into digital in a hybrid set that shows real craft. Welcome to Minimal Selections. A monthly mix series and Record label dedicated to uncovering underground weapons in the minimal space. With a personal touch on every episode, the series highlights curated sounds and invites guest DJs to contribute their unique perspectives. Perfect for fans of deep, stripped-back grooves and forward-thinking minimal vibes.

Yo it’s brenen I’m 20 years old and have just put out my first vinyl-only mix, which has been a big step in finding and sharing my sound. I love the scene not just for the music but for the connections it brings — meeting people, making friends, and being part of something bigger. I haven’t played out properly yet, but I’ve got a few gigs coming up soon that I’m really looking forward to. My sound is rooted in minimal house with deep, rolling basslines and touches of garage that give it a playful, UK edge. I also have a strong love for the rominimal sound and the culture around it — the long, hypnotic grooves and stripped-back textures are a big influence on how I approach my sets.

Right now, I wouldn’t say I resemble any particular artist because I’m still at the stage of discovering my own style, and I don’t yet produce. But on the DJ side, I look up to the likes of Apollonia for the way they create energy and flow across extended sets. Their approach to groove and progression is something I really admire and try to take inspiration from in my own way.

At this stage, I’m focused on building confidence behind the decks and testing my sound in front of live crowds, but I’m also looking further ahead. In the next few years I see myself stepping into production, creating tracks that carry my own unique stamp — music that works both in intimate settings and on bigger dancefloors. I want to carve out a style that feels distinct, blending the underground influences I’ve grown up on with my own fresh ideas.

IZE is a multi-genre vinyl & digital DJ/Selector based in London. Mixing a variety of grooves while maintaining an organic and soulful approach is something of a specialty for IZE.
