Oliver Hartmann aka Insect O. est un dj/producteur basé à Dresden (Allemagne).

Très jeune il est attiré par l'univers électronique. Sa musique est mélodique, rêveuse, teintée de vivacité mais toujours avec une touche de profondeur. Ses productions nous racontent son histoire, entre Dub et Deep Techno avec certaines influences de Detroit. Il s'inspire d'artistes comme Basic Channel, Rob Bois ou Jeff Mills. 

Fondateur du label Etui Records, Oliver produit des artistes comme Monomood, Marko Furstenberg, Hydergine, Quantec..

Son EP 'Bondi Dub' sorti en juin 2013 nous transmet son amour pour la Deep Techno tandis que son titre 'Birds Over Hong Kong' montre son engouement pour la techno plus rugueuse.

En 2014, il sort un remix d'Absolute Control de Monomood, ainsi qu'un remix pour Alessandro Crimi (Space Cocktail) qui se trouve d'ailleurs dans cette 36ème pulsation.

We shared a dub techno special split podcast with our friends Zoltan Solomon & Krisz Deak aka. Odum as guests of the Selection Sorted Techno Podcast series' 26th episode on Framed.Fm
With the use of our various field recordings we start off from rainy Budapest and board Berlin's S-bahn halfway through the podcast to finally arrive to bittersweet thoughts on decay and mortality at the end. Since most our tracks are made at our Karinthy avenue / Budapest base, it seemed a good idea to borrow words from Karinthy Frigyes himself, one of our favorite Hungarian writers of the 20th century with sampling a 7" vinyl containing fractions of his diary written after the death of his first wife, Judik Etel in 1918. Even if the tone of voice is serious we hope you'll enjoy, as much as we did making it.

Du kannst einen Tropfen Wasser vor dem austrocknen retten, indem du ihn ins Wasser zurückgibst - alles hat seinen Ursprung, seinen ganz eigenen Sinn - der Tropfen, welcher vom Himmel fällt und in der Erde verdunstet, Bäche & Flüsse speist - ein Bach, der einem Felsen entspringt und zu einem Fluss wird, um sich letztendlich in’s Meer zu ergießen. Werden und Sein, Alles und Nichts! Damit beschäftigt sich heuer euer philosophischer Käpt’n Rolandson. Warum? - Weil da zwei Jungs aus Berlin angeheuert haben, welche der Meinung sind, sie versuchen sich an Smetana seiner Moldau und interpretieren sie nach ihrem dafürhalten. 

Well Well, da stopft sich der Käpt’n sein Pfeifchen und macht es sich in seiner Hängematte gemütlich. Derweil mixen https://soundcloud.com/rs63 die liebreizenden Melodien, zu wundervoll dahin plätschernden Klangwellen und lassen sie hin und wieder aufbrausen. So wogen die Wellen hin und her und treiben uns immer weiter auf das Meer, wobei - die Moldau mündet in die Elbe und diese mündet dann in’s Meer - öhm naja, der Kompass zeigt gen Norden und wir überlassen es euch, wohin ihr euch träumt - Hauptsache ihr seid dabei und lasst euch treiben und gebt euch hin.

da hat der Schusselkopf vom Käpt'n doch fast vergessen, die 12 wichtigen Punkte der Neu-Interpretation darzulegen und der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen - Feingeister, die wir rauhen Seebären numal auch sein können - BITTE sehr - RS63 und ihr 12 Punkte-Plan ;)

1. Die zwei Quellflüsse entspringen in einer Höhle im Felsgestein und fließen an Tageslicht.
2. Die Quellflüsse stoßen aufeinander und vereinen sich zu einem kleinen Fluss.
3. Nun bahnt er sich seinen Weg, als ein kleiner kräftiger Strom, durch den Wald.
4. Dieser kleine Strom trifft nun auf einen riesigen 48 Kilometer langen Stausee.
5. Danach verlässt er diesen und durchfließt schmale Auen und Hohe Steinhänge, begleitet von dichtem Wald an den Ufern.
6. Durch den Wald geflossen, kommt er nun zu einem sehr windungsreichen Teil seiner Strecke. 
7. Erneut trifft er auf einen weiteren großen Stausee, der ihn in seiner Geschwindigkeit etwas ausbremst.
8. Durch die Straken Stromschnellen am Ausgang des Stausees, nimmt er wieder Fahrt auf.
9. Der Fluss wird breiter und umfließt eine Insel auf dem Majestätisch ein Kloster sich empor streckt.
10. Die Moldau erreich Prag und fließ durch sie hindurch.
11. Es folgen wieder steile Hänge und der Fluss wird sehr groß und breit.
12. Die Moldau vereint sich in einem furiosen Finale mit der Elbe.

Carlos  was born in 1982 in Caracas, Venezuela. He had his first experience with electronic music at age 16 when he found his way to the local records store and felt completely drawn and amazed by the power and strength in House & Techno and its instinctive ways of structure. Soon after that, he started playing in small underground parties around the capital, consumed and fascinated by the style.

After getting to know his way around the scene, Carlos quickly became part of it, participating in events such as "The Smirnoff Experience" and "High Events". Playing in several parties around Venezuela and the world (Colombia, Alemania, Ecuador) allowed him to have the experience of sharing booths with talented artists whom he not only admired and respected, but with whom he also shared the same passion for electronic music. He played with Richie Hawtin, Magda, Marco Carola, Mr. C, Francis Harris, M.A.N.D.Y, Jonny White (Art Department), Ripperton, Gurtz, Dani Casarano, Behrouz, Anderson Noise, Smokin Jo, Harri, Ryan Shaw, Circulation, Ulysses, Matthias Tanzmann, Nima Gorji, Pablo Bolivar, Ricky Ryan, Christian Berger, Pancho Piedra,  Behrouz (Do Not Sit On The Furniture) and had many fortunate experiences that made him grow, understand and connect with and through music.

Since 2003, Carlos a.k.a "Don K" has played as a resident DJ in one of the best electronic music clubs in Caracas: Suka Bar.

In 2007 Carlos was invited to the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Spain. He participated in a couple of events at Macarena Club & Chiringuito Beach, sharing decks with great artist such as Daniel Stefanik, Anthony Collins, Gabriel Ananda & Molder. A year after, Carlos moved to Barcelona to team up with his hometown friends that were living in Barcelona at the moment, playing in several clubs around the city such as Macarena, City Hall, and "The Summer Chiringuito Parties".

He Moved to Venezuela in 2010 , and Started a new series of parties called NoGameNight, inviting His firends and local talents, also bringing international Artist from Germany , Spain and SouthAmerica Every month till 2015.

Nowadays he is living in Mexico City

Coming from Darkwave (198x), Acid-House (1988), Acid to Trance (1991-93) and to all kinds of deep deep electronic sound (1995 - NOW). wrote articles  for different east-german scene-mags in the nineties and was one of the founders of channel.dd, the first east-german radio show on evosonic radio (some may remember - the first and last FM-technoradio in germany)

now i'm just a 24/7 electronic-music-consumer and love breaks/DnB ( calyx & tebee, chase&status, Dom Withing, Pendulum), Psytrance (astral projection, electronic universe), deep- and melodic electronic (boss axis, robag wruhme, Einmusik) and finally the deep deep dubtechno (insect o., basic channel, r&s, deepchord, echogarden, echocord).
