A new spring, a new label, a new direction. NOWHERE is closely
linked to the Utrecht-bunch of Something Happening
Somewhere. They kick off with the acid tingled Substance EP by
@humanspacemachine

Part of the Amsterdam techno collective De Lichting, Human
Space Machine is driven by Mike Jungerius. Although he does
sprinkle some techno-DNA over his spacious productions, his
machines often take you much deeper into the realm.

Premiering the lysergic ‘Dong’ - a track that will remind some Dutch techno heads
of early Steve Rachmad productions. Futuristic funk in optima
forma delivered by one of Amsterdam’s finest.

Premiere: Human Space Machine - Dong [NOWHERE01]

Yet another innovative release from our friends at @delichting with ‘RDS Theme’ by @0rds0 . What better way to introduce the record than with words from the man himself: 

‘I feel honored to finally present my first EP on de Lichting. All tracks except A1 were made during my COVID-19 quarantine between 8th-19th July 2021 on an EMU E64 and KORG MS2000. With the EP, I tried to cover most of the sounds that I regularly play during my DJ sets. Side A starts with two house cuts, ‘CAL01’ and ‘Emspacer’ inspired by some of my favourite house records, and ends with the electro title track ‘RDS THEME’. Side B, starts with the minimal-ish ‘Substance’, followed by two Ambient Techno/IDM cuts ‘Trapswet’ and ‘Cwejfx’. Personally, I feel that the tracklist reflects the process of being isolated, which on the one hand, enabled me to (finally) work on music without being distracted, and on the other hand, got me into a melancholic mood over time’.

https://soundcloud.com/sanjib-4 returns with another creation of an authentic and richly textured world consisting of ambient and dub-techno on the hypnotic techno label https://soundcloud.com/crescent-london. The four-track long EP Flavours Awakening comes with two remixes of Flavours Awakening and Sensing Algorithm by https://soundcloud.com/concrete-gold and Doltz.

The Lyon-based producer Sanjib touches upon atmospheric heights and elevated consciousness with his deep techno productions, including on this new record. The EP takes off with the floaty title track Flavours Awakening, which feels like a melancholic dub-heavy journey, followed by the trippy and just as touching Sensing Algorithm. Both productions clearly have an emotional undertone in which Sanjib once again focuses on establishing a universe dedicated to travel and introspection.

On our premiere pick, Concrete Gold, one of the minds behind Crescent London, showcases a slower take on Flavours Awakening, transforming the emotional track into a hypnotic adaptation while not letting go of the emotional inquiry.
