We're extremely proud to release his debut EP on the label because Sly has been sending us tracks for years, and slowly but surely we saw his productions progress into some world class house music. At the end of last year we had the good fortune of connecting with a very exciting artist going by the moniker Jack Roy. From his very first submission we knew immediately that he was an artist we could get behind and our fans would really enjoy.

‘Juices’ is Jack Roy’s debut with our LAMP imprint and will certainly be the first of many. This super groovy track features a host of smooth, bubbling bass lines and bright dynamic effects coupled with some snappy drums to keep that head bobbing to the last bar. When asked about this track in particular Roy said it’s a “Late Night Juicy Jam to keep your body Movin.”

Jack Roy is a multi-instrumentalist from Santa Barbara, California, with a knack for adding his own unique, groovy twist to Southern California’s dance floors.  In recent months he has found his pace in writing and production, drawing audiences of many different musical tastes. When ol' Roy is in the hot seat, one should expect to find themselves on a groovtastic voyage sprung with sexxxy bass lines, smooth house rhythms, and smiles across the dance floor.

PUZL Records welcomes Jack Roy and Peitzke to the label this Friday with a brand new two track EP 'Funky Feelin'. 'Funky Feelin' is the title track along with 'Friction of Fictions'.  It was way too hard to decide which track to talk about today because they are both so incredibly fun to listen to. 

'Funky Feelin' is a bass driven disco tune that oozes character. There are so many really good things about this song. I am in love with the bass line with that little twinge of on acid vibe. It really punches through the mix well and feels very powerful. I love all the atmospheric elements they have added to the song as well. The soft birds chirping and pads along with a myriad of percs get you lost for minute and then out of know where a broken string snaps us right back in to the track. It is pretty easy to picture myself in a big city park with a sick dj setup playing this song and just watching people dance away like they don't have a care in the world. It is really a timeless song that will have people coming back to it for a long time and it will always feel as fresh and vibrant as the first time or the hundredth time they have heard it. A perfect new track to get us into those summer vibes.
