track thematize "ingress" a kinda smartphone game of google
a thoughtfulness-less game with the purpose to gain more google+ users & editing data...
the story of the game is insipid & pseudo-religious...
you can choose between 2 faction which you "fight" for...
typical american black and white thinking...
well i´m no big fan of this playing philosophy...

BUT i like the minimal oldschool design of the game +
sound-design...it reminds me (in good way) of my beloved tron movies (yeah i know the storyline is also pseudo-religious:))...
if you have seen tron legacy you might remember the big bad soundtrack of daft punk?!

well..that was my aim..to create a deep, dark & drifty game soundtrack like daft punk did...

i used lots of ingress-gameplay-soundz in this kinda symphonic masterpiece...combined with quadruple bass power (big thanx to  drum & bass master https://soundcloud.com/jcjynxy - he told me about some great & free vst´s) and superb drums...

ohh..and big, big, big thanx to strahenson (a real connoisseur of electronic music)!!!
he helped me "finding" the right samples & themes +
he made the first break (intro) & convinced me to use less drums...

track was made with ableton 8


game sound fx & vocals (ingress)

bass-power (triple "bass one" & "da hornet")

drums (drum programming with "addictive drums" + drum 
samples) 
(in my opinion you need to sample drums from the 60´ies/70´ies & combine them with self programmed drum patterns to gain a power- & soulful beatz:))

only the kick/bass drum (ableton´s version of the 808) needs improvement (if you know a good kick etc. tell me about it:))

but..nonetheless..this..right here..is epic shit!!!!
mayhaps the best laptop-track i´ve ever heard :))
