As an original part of the Metalheadz crew (his name is inked on the spine of the label's first ever release), Doc Scott's been a constant influence and driving force behind 170bpm music whether working on Reinforced, HDZ, Bukem's Goodlooking imprint or on his own 31 Records. Over time since he first appeared the Coventry born producer's watched the scene he loves weather changes, or as his biography puts it "from it's transitions from rave to hardcore, jungle-techno to tech step to d&b, from UK based to a global scene and industry, Doc Scott has seen it all and been there for the entire journey." He's quite famously described by his long time friend Goldie as "king of the rollers" and he's the type of DJ that when he speaks, you simply put up and listen. 

And that's what we've been doing all day, since we received this exclusive mix, one he's delivered ahead of his Room Two appearance alongside LTJ Bukem, Klute and Dom & Roland a week on Friday. Sometimes gumpf just gets in the way so all we'll say, is sit back, get comfortable and press play...

FooR are a UK collective of producers, musicians, DJs, and MCs at the forefront of the current UK Garage revival. Championed by the likes of Radio 1’s MistaJam and DJ Target, they’ve so far released a handful of singles (including ‘Down’ feat. Karen Harding), and remixed the likes of Wretch32, Tinchy Stryder, Ghetts, and beyond. The four-piece have also become UK Garage’s fastest rising stars on the live circuit, with shows including Isle Of Wight Festival, EDC, Boardmasters, Ministry of Sound, and Mutiny
Hailing from Southampton, UK, FooR (fronted by Gavin Foord, Aki, MC Jukie & Tyrone) have all been friends for 15 years – literally since they were kids. Once they hit their teens they started making music together and then throwing parties, first locally, and then across the South Coast.

Their biggest show to date was arguably at last summer’s Isle Of Wight festival, where they were asked to play in The Big Top between fellow Saturday night headliners, Example and Zara Larsson. But such is the current buzz around FooR, that they’re now travelling across the UK, and abroad, with forthcoming gigs including London’s The Steelyard (with Matt Jam Lamont & Friends), Ministry of Sound, and The Nest, plus shows in Wales, the South Coast, Scotland, the Midlands, and two gigs in Amsterdam. Summer 2018 festival dates will be announced soon.

’Friends Of FooR’ is FooR’s first commercially available mixtape; following 2017’s Pure Garage mix album – their installment of the genre’s most prestigious series debuted at No.9 in the UK compilation charts.

A man who finds himself often working between the peripheries of a host of different sounds, Hypho’s experimentalism is a unique mash-up that has developed through years of living in the musical hotspot that is Manchester. Taking inspiration from seminal figures such as Loefah and Burial, his leftfield creations fuse elements of breaks, techno, garage and dubstep to form bass-heavy tracks that have featured on labels such as Swamp81, Encrypted Audio and Infernal Sounds.

His shadowy, ominous low-end frequencies are balanced by perfectly executed sound design, bringing a musical depth that runs through all his productions. His work has seen him collaborate with figures such as Biome, Sumgii and Opus, while the likes of T-man, Logan and Rakjay have touched mic on his intricate compositions.
