7pm. The W hotel rooftop was filling up and the sun had just set. I played one of my favorite sets for a very receptive, fun crowd. People were jumping up and down and I felt like taking them on a wide range journey through the last couple years and the inception of the boom boom room. Some old tracks, some brand new, but certainly a groovy ride the whole way through.

2 hour sesh of me IN THE GARAGE. Even though this is recorded live in my garage, I kind of throw the kitchen sink at it haha. I laid out some of my favorite tracks in the last year or so - everything from acid, tech house, disco, electro, break beats, deep minimal - all done freestyle on my pioneer XDJ controller raw, unadulterated, unapologetic, IN MY GARAGE.

In The Garage w/ DJ Pharaoh

I suffer the curse many DJs I know suffer, the curse of never getting our sets recorded! So I realized it's been a long time since I had done a studio mix, so I spent the week recording and listening and nothing came out right. Then I decided to reflect on my journey as a DJ and as human being. The moment that truly changed everything for me was the moment I found Terence Mckenna when I was in the 8th grade. Though that was a few years before I ever spun a jog wheel, it is the moment my journey began, and recently I purchased a record off of my friend with an excerpt from Alien Dreamtime, so I said this is where I will start my mix! Hope you enjoy, I feel like this set really captures my journey as a human and is a pretty good snapshot of my style as a whole, though my deep house side is a bit under represented here I would say.

We got weird over the weekend at the Lake. The vibes were high. Truly thankful to play this far-ranging set in an intentional, immersive, artistic BIPOC-centric space. It felt so right and fulfilling.
