Wheel of Life is a nine minute excursion to the edges of our galaxy on warm and rumbling drums and bass, with spiritual synths and gorgeous vocal sounds next to far eastern sounding instrumentals. It's a balmy and cinematic track of the highest order. Magic Touch is another sizzler, with more heady pads and truly touching chords up top - they are delicate and airy and full of hope, while the spacious, roomy drums provide a nice hypnotic groove to get lost in. 

These are perfectly escapist tunes from this assured talent.

PREMIERE: Morttagua & Ubbah Feat. Eleonora -  Blue Enigma (Stereo Express Remix) [Timeless Moment]

London-based sound mangler & audio-artist extraordinaire Rico Casazza drops his first EP for Insult To Injury, the Ransom Note Records sub-label run by Timothy Clerkin.

We’re treated to a slow, atmospheric start with the titular Catharsis; a glitchy, IDM masterpiece that sounds like it was recorded in a run-down warehouse somewhere in an industrial wasteland, circa 1992. We then quickly shift up a gear with Atompunk, the bastard child of the 80s Electro scene & early UK Jungle, creating something quite unique.

Stepping on the accelerator even harder, Insert Feelings Here is a juggernaut summer anthem, propelled by it’s driving bassline, the euphoric strings transport us to a beachy dance-floor, just as the sun is rising. This one has arrived just in time for some ecstatic summer festival moments!

Australian maestro Shedbug takes the reins for the Atompunk remix, cranking the Jungle-ometer up to eleven, for a Jekyll & Hyde monster that darts between the ambient rave forest and full frontal assault!

Bouquet. Records features Olive T. for their sixth EP release on vinyl to infuse their 2021 roster with the desired verve and energy that dormant club kids are thirsting for. Releasing in early summer, the energetic dance tracks herald a return to the dance floor, uplifted by soul-stirring synthesizer orchestral strings. The native New Yorker and scene fixture was influenced by 90’s house, inspired by Raze, Deee-lite, Green Velvet, and smooth disco flows. The ascension sensation of “Goin Up” builds on familiar house grooves with digital synths and a thoughtful utilization of today’s technology.

Known to play a range spanning hip hop to club, jazz to funk, disco to garage, and more, Olive T has DJ’d countless venues and over international airwaves. An early exposure to house and techno, combined with a wide span of diverse musical taste, shaped her unique style. In 2020 she started her own 2 hour radio show on The Lot Radio.

@olivetonic worked with the up and coming producer Tiro! due to her admiration of his use of traditional sounds of the 90’s era, sensing he also listened prolifically to 90’s house and techno. Tiro!’s remix of “This Is A Bop” adds organic flare to the original. A long-time fan of @mattkarmil , she invited him to remix “Opaque.” He flips the track upside down to reveal a different, but still vibrant interpretation, with his technical approach to remixing.

Olive T has released singles and remixes on Nervous records, 2MR, and on her own. The four track record “Goin Up” marks Olive T’s first label-released EP, and first release on San Diego-based Bouquet. Records.

From there, Romain FX, after having camped his studio at this Italian’s home for a couple of years in Hong Kong, had an epiphany. He made a track using this genius tagline on Boots & Legs from Australia and wanted to take this phrase even further. And so this compilation was born.

 Scouting unknown and more known talents, Romain would put together a compilation full of cheesy goodness for dance-floors ready tunes right in time for open-airs this summer of 21 after a long danceless year. For the first volume, A-teamguests were asked to partake in the adventure, we have Bijou, Franz Scala, Alberto Melloni, Doctor, Berny, Daniele Monaco and Romain FX.Expect cheese and more cheese.
