The Tegels Boys ascend to cruising altitude with this four-track release featuring two original discotheque thrillers paired with top-flight remixes from Uj Pa Gaz and Franz Matthews. Fresh Acid Boogie from the cockpit!

Half Electric ft. Marvin Jam [Original] is a chunky, stomping, elastic, acid-disco, peak time slow burner, a hefty slab of relentless boogie built around a mysterious and unforgettable classic-rock guitar figure, whiplash cowbells, and a hungry 303 line snaking its way into the mix, a track aimed directly at the hips. Just as this throb is frothing over, things kick into a streamlined, disco pulse, the saxophone honk joins, and vocalist Marvin Jam intones a scorching soul-blues lament, a glorious build off into the horizon. On remix duties is Tirana, Albania-based Uj Pa Gaz, a talented live-electronic musician in his own right with releases on Tici-Taci, Heimlich, Esthetique and more, who goes right for the melodic core of the track, dropping a Chemical Brothers friendly big broken beat over a perfect marriage of blissed-out synth figures and sunrise arpeggio-pulse, a steady chug bringing the sexy sax back in play. A monstrous build brings Marvin’s vocals back and it's an all-out timeless body-ecstacy bounce.

Love ‘Em & Lear ‘Em [Original] A sultry strut out of the gates, Love ‘Em & Lear ‘Em demonstrates the Tegel Boys effortless sample-happy disco instincts, delivering a steady percussive-driver of a track, with inescapable groove. Head-bopping, shuffle percussion, and bass throb are expertly laid down with teasing robo-girl vocals flying in and around the mix, eventually building to muscular downtown-NYC-post-punk breakdown, making this a proper weapon in the right DJ-hands. The Franz Matthews remix is a decidedly shinier, crisper, laser-precision take on the track, featuring a souped-up hypnotic bassline, four on the floor drum mechanics, and a hefty dose of wild-safari escapades added to the core movement. Funky 80s synth-stabs and Red Axes kraut guitar jump on the train and take it to new heights.

Joel, Jeremy, Alican, and Antonio are pilots. The four Tegel Boys. The flight is fancy and it’s a foolhardy insistence that a parallel world still exists. First-class dreams, tacky and louche, vinyl seats, sticky cocktails, giddy highs, and lusty stomp. Polymath rock ‘n’ roll electronics that work a little less obviously, but feel a whole lot better.

After succesfull releases in 2015 signed by Marvin & Guy, Enzino & Akirahawks and Just John among others, MM Discos strikes back with a second release featuring Sankt Goran. The Swedish producer ,who already released works for Aniara, Bear Funk, Solar Disco or his own imprint "The Free Spirit Society" , comes back to his early Disco sound delivering "Here Comes Greenslade", a track equally influenced by the Balearic Sound and House Music. A nine minutes journey where guitars and synths join together in order to deliver a perfect sunrise/sunset, and where the memories of the Ibiza's Summer of love are touchables. On the B-Side, "Here Comes Greenslade" turns darker with 2 superb remixes. FANTASTIC TWINS @fantastictwins, the solo artist formerly known as The Twins, has always carried an air of transmutability - not only in a name creating its own hall of mirrors, but also in a constantly fluctuating sound, from the first spoken word interludes recorded as The Truly Fantastic Dessagne Twins From Saint-Etienne (for the Pachanga Boys’ infamous “We Are Really Sorry” album) to myth-building solo releases on Hippie Dance and Optimo Music, as well as style-bending remixes for La Mverte Vs Capablanca, Moscoman and – most recently – fellow Hippie Dancer Rebolledo. 

Following the echo-drenched “Holiday” on “A Very Nice Combinado Volume Dos”, the project from Julienne Dessagne has embarked on yet another transforming journey, leading to the latest outing with the well-suited title THE NEW YOU. Its four tracks prove Dessagne’s ongoing commitment to an open sound aesthetic that works the techno blueprint from the inside out, mutating from foreboding, post-industrial landscape to dazed interzone opera in a heartbeat. 

Uncanny rave polaroids from last night’s ill-memorized peak floor flash up on opener SHAKE IT’s mental screen, while follow-up HEY tries to herd its nervously rushing percussion to no - albeit banging - avail. The title track slowly implodes in reverse, pitting Dessagne’s obsessing, molting vocals against a stubbornly no-wave-ish synth bassline and octave-hopping freeform keyboards blown to gaseous smithereens. Post-punk closer TIME SCIENCE kicks into motion with a confused diary entry turned subconscious commentary – while the psych guitar gently weeps all over the neatly arranged furniture. Welcome back, newcomers!
