Playground is releasing a very special compilation to celebrate nine years of life. A musical journey shared with dear friends, which expresses the living history of the label from its origins to the present. From the first illegal raves in Buenos Aires, to becoming an international artist's platform based in Barcelona. A long process of learning, growth and consolidation have passed. Nowadays, with an extensive catalog of more than 40 references Playground has a solid story to tell, always selecting an eclectic criterion and betting on diversity. Each launch reaffirms the commitment with an aesthetic freedom beyond any label.

The ‘9 Years Compilation’ faithfully expresses our history, but above all our present, always with an eye looking to the future. 15 new original tracks carefully chosen to create a polychromatic musical adventure, with diverse nuances and intensities. From downtempo songs to listen at home, through music inspired by the new wave, the creative force of the jungle, the power of organic elements and psychedelic experimentation to the most convincing music for the club.

Chimaera is a proper in-your-face song, it's pure energy! The song evolves around a very distinctive synth line, accompanied by a fashionable groove and a big kick and bass line. Enos starts off more subtle but slowly builds up towards a similar but more obscure energy.

The idea behind the Impact collection is to highlight the dance floor's importance as a place for creative thinking, sexual liberation and multicultural amplification. This was brought into sharp relief during lockdown when label boss Jorkes and Lisa Jäger had to cancel their HOT all-gender sauna parties in Vienna. It left them and their community with nowhere to go and gave rise to 'Impact', as well as discussions at the WAF Galerie that Lisa co-curates. Each volume has come in tandem with its own talk with subjects including 'clubs as places for freedom and emancipation.'

Stefan Haag aka Chinaski aka S-F-X is a sound and visual artist, a resident at Robert Johnson and a regular on the Frankfurt club's own imprint. His excellent 'Power, Flower, Violence and Shower' shoots for the stars with its cosmic synth rays, colourful disco arps and elastic bass ensuring you move every bone in your body.

This fantastic final instalment completes the vital Impact series in style and once again comes with artwork from Daniel Rajcsanyi.

There's a new kid on the block: David Campos is the mastermind behind Pumuki, a Madrid-based Indie Dance/Dark Disco project with well-received appearances on Envy Music, Mélopée, Emerald & Doreen, and Espacio Cielo. The latter opens its doors one more time to the rising Spanish producer who cooked four ace originals for his brand-new adventure. On the remix duties, none other than Pin Up Club and Motorcycle Boy.

Premiered here, the version made with love by Pin Up Club undoubtedly raises the bar of the release. With solid themes issued on Relish, DGTL, BAR, Bordello A Parigi, Throne Of Blood, Nocta Numerica, Mireia, Toolroom, and NEIN, just to name a few, the legendary Dutch duo's capabilities need no introduction.

For their take on the title track, the lads started using their Midas Touch by speeding things a little bit: From 120 to 132 BPM in 0.924 seconds - establishing a new world record. Then comes the Raw Trance infusion settled by heavy doses of progressiveness and trippiness, resulting in a beserk peak-time entity devoted to creating historic dance floor memories.

After taking a break in 2023, Velax returned strongly at the beginning of this year, as demonstrated in his release with Local Suicide on Iptamenos Discos.
