AZIZ returns to NYMFIELD with his second EP called 'Soul'. Four smooth deep house cuts making sure you're warm during these upcoming winter months. The EP starts with the title track 'Soul'. A tune with attention to detail within its layers. This in combination with solid beats, heavy bass and soul soothing chords, makes the tune true to its name. 'Higher' is a lush deep house record which finds its inspiration more into the mid-00's era of deep house. More techy and tighter beats in combination with deep pads and lush chords. Advancing into the EP we encounter the soul uplifting 'I Wish I Knew'. A bit reminiscent of summer and its glory days, this record is filled with synths, catchy vocals & that old school groove. Rounding off the EP we have 'Can't You See'. A proper mellow deep house cut. While the EP holds his basis within the deeper sounds, AZIZ brings multiple vibes & energy levels to the table. The EP starts off with Orbit carrot, a high-energy, left-field disco track with modular experiments, heavily destroyed vocal samples and a sense of musical freedom balanced with maturity that is characteristic of Stevie Rs recent releases.
No-holding back remixes by Intergalactic house legend Man Power and peak-time expert Freudenthal complete the first part of this EP. Sequential biscuits is a wonky collection of modular acid lines produced in the studio during a late night jam, and re-worked in a slow, percussion based dub by Parisinos.

Last spotted on the inaugural ‘Muy Duro’ volume, Russian duo Wolfstream jump aboard Theus Mago’s unstoppable Duro vehicle with their first full EP for the label… And they’re taking full navigational controls.

‘Khoomei’ sets the parameters. A widescreen slab of lolloping percussive dark disco characterised by the unique Mongolian throat singing it takes its name from, there’s a state of transcendence as we lock tighter and tighter to the loose-flowing groove.

The same can be said for ‘From Z To Ulu’. Once again bringing human voices to the rhythmic table, there’s a palpable soul coded deep into late night synthetic groove. Best compared to Black Strobe at their peak, there’s a deep 3am mischief that’s amplified consummately by Hanzo & Yaman on their remix.

Complete with a synth bass slapping remix of ‘Khoomei’ from the Duro boss Theus himself, we conclude with ‘Avacha Bay Hunters’. A tempestuous rolling slice of percussive hypnotica, the explorative theme persists right through to the very finale. Taking its name and spirit from the furthest Russian outpost, right on the nose of the Pacific ocean, once again Wolfstream take us to places we’ve never knew existed in more ways than one…. Buen viaje.
