.cut is an experimental band founded by Albérick in 1992.

We have shared the stage with many artists including Mono, Exhaust, Molasses, To Live And Shave In LA, and Carla Bozulich.

For the last 30 years, we have been the soundtrack of that split second when the darkness around each of us becomes familiar, almost soothing. If we're still angry, we're still alive.

Thee Virginal Brides were born as a musical playground for three gentlemen from three different musical environments.

Eric Boivin is a field recording and sound artist originally from Montreal. His main interests are in phonographic arts, sound manipulation, transmission and sound art. He generally uses field recording tracks to create atmospheric sound collages and transmission art pieces.
 
Eric is a regular contributor on the Montreal Sounds Map project and also airs programming on different radio shows dedicated to field recording. His work has been played in radio and sound art festivals around the world. He is currently producing and co-hosting a weekly experimental music radio show entitled Symbiose on CIBL 101. 5 FM in Montreal

Dr.Strangelove is a Montreal-based improvisation trio featuring Albérick/.cut (electronics), Arnø (violin), Etienne Blythe/Cloudscapes (guitar).

Ambient textural soundscapes, sometimes with the backbone of structure, sometimes not at all. Often borrowing from experimental rock, drones, psychedelic music, ambient, electronic/synthscapes, beat frequencies, minimalist, soundtrack and classical. I am also bad at describing things.

Tools I use, lots of loopers and things that create evolving  "space", prepared guitar, bowed/ebowed, or not, various synths, contact mics, gongs and other purcussion, field recordings, happy accidents and improvisation.

I Am an experimental artist who has worked with people from across the globe & from outer space. I have a keen interest in collaboration, and would welcome any folks who have a serious interest in making experimental sounds. Always looking for labels & co-conspirators ~ !
