I created this track in Reaper, using field recordings from New York City and my roommate. I made the hat you see to emulate a you-know-what, referencing this track.

Unmanageability with numbers

Missing my father who died a decade ago, wondering where his soul is.

Where are you sketch

Like 3 sketches in one drawing that don’t relate to one another. Should I cut each section apart and develop? I collaged my poetry, Zurich tram from 2003, a sample of a certain type of movie genre, my friend Honey’s dove chorteling, and playing with one of my father’s shortwave radios. As a child, I had a deep fascination with the soumds between the stations, and would be endlessly entertained by the ambient sounds. I then played my mini akai usb powered keyboard over it all. Made in Garageband late at night on January 17th, 2025 in San Fracisco on planet Earth.

Snatch

Inspired by the music played at my acupuncture clinic!  I used an AKAI mpk Mini keyboard, along with Garageband to make this track. There is also a field recording slipped in there from when I vacationed in Vietnam.

Ambient Acupuncture

I was born in Germany to a Turkish audiophile father and an American artist mother. I was raised in the wonderlands of Japan and Iceland, traveling often with my parents. In Iceland, to amuse myself in the cold lightless winter months, I used to sit for hours at my father's Panasonic Double Superheterodyne RF-B600 shortwave radio, turning the dial left and right, entranced with the sounds between the stations. I'd pick up the same morse code signals and pure static. 

At the age of 26, I started making field recordings. Then I had a bursting forth of poetry from 2003-2006, when I lived in San Francisco. This is when I had the idea to use my poetry to make music in Garageband and Reaper. I do it for a hobby, since I'm actually a fashion accessories designer, but hope to one day release an album or two!
