500 followers, holy shit. Honestly never really thought I'd get that much. Don't know how it happened, exactly, but at the end of the day? I'm genuinely grateful! I'm glad that that many people are entertained by my work, and I'd hope to continue expanding that audience as I keep on honing my craft. I'm glad you're all here.

As for the song itself! It's a cover of @airenn171's take on a Gaster boss theme, which in turn is based heavily on Toby Fox's old "Dream Devourer" fan-song he made for Chrono Trigger. Given that it's both badass and a bit heartfelt, I figured it'd make a good song for the occasion. Plus, I've just been dying to make a Gaster fight theme for a while now, haha.

This was quite a fun one to do, yes it is a Queen Big Shot for 
a little AU that a friend of mine had been working on. 
I loved the concept of NEO boss fight a lot, 
and so I offered to work on the theme for it. ^-^
Hope you enjoy this track as I worked on it through most of Sunday, 
it was quite fun.

Here it is! A metal cover of one of your favourite songs from Deltarune: Chapter Rewritten, Battle Against The World! I truly put my heart and soul into this song. From thrashing guitars to symphonic strings, and even a little inspiration from nu metal, this cover has it all! Unlike most of my remixes, the first time I listened to the original song, my reaction wasn't "This is so cool!" "I need to make a cover!" (although I think that "Battle Against the World" is a fantastic song). No, my initial reaction was, "Holy moly, this is gonna test my abilities." BATW is an incredibly complicated song with many intricate parts, not all of which I could fit into this song without it sounding like noise. I've spent what feels like forever fine-tuning this cover. Overall, I'm more than happy with the final product and hope that you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it! The idea behind Placed Bets originally came a little while after having played Deltarune Chapter 1, wondering what a hypothetical fight against Lancer would be like if, as Lancer stated in (I think) his introduction, he truly was "the bad guy", much like the title his father would proudly wield. This song (and its predecessors) explores what would happen if King weren't around to be the bad guy, and all of the responsibility to handle the Lightners fell upon Lancer. So before any of you start making comments about it, no, this is NOT supposed to be a Weird Route thing. So please don't try and treat it as such.

It's been closer to 5 years at this point since I made the original Placed Bets, and one year fewer since I'd made v2. Suffice to say, it's been a while since I've revisited it, it's certainly been long enough to justify it. I've been in a particular remaster-y mood lately, so expect some "classics" (in other words, weird remaster choices) in the future!!
