Josh Mason is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Wellington New Zealand. Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of acoustic pop, rock and new-age artists, his music typically emphasises acoustic guitar and piano, with common lyrical themes of introspection and romanticism.

Josh Mason first began producing and performing solo music in 2007 as part of a high school project. Prior to this he had been involved in a number of bands playing guitar, keyboards and drums. His first release was the 7 track EP, 'An Excerpt Of Lost Misinterpretations', released under the name 'The Zorath Megafield Project'. The EP was entirely self-produced, with all instruments being performed and recorded by Josh Mason. Stylistically the songs drew influences from heavy metal and acoustic music.

Josh Mason's next release was the full length debut album 'One Day', released around mid 2009. He described One Day as a conceptual album, using night and day as a metaphor for the combination of heavier and lighter music contained on the album. It also marks the transition in Josh Mason's style from heavy-metal to vocal orientated acoustic-rock..

The next release was a 4 track EP entitled 'Set Sail To A Light' in February 2012. This EP was released as a preview for the upcoming album 'Celestial'.

Tommy and The Fallen Horses is an Alt-Country, Indie-Pop and Folk-Rock flavored band featuring singer-songwriter Tommy Benefield.

Benefield rose to infamy around the New Zealand music scene with his group TOMMY headlining many festivals, getting several singles on high rotate on the indie and b-net radio stations and with their two albums released through LOOP Records making it onto the indie charts. Their album 4000 YEARS features on the sound track to Shortland St on a weekly basis.

TOMMY became festival darlings with their high energy performances, beautiful melodies, evocative lyrics and hilarious banter.

When TOMMY disbanded the remaining replacement members released their new album under the name Tommy and The Fallen Horses which had a new aesthetic and a more 70’s country-rock sound. 

Their debut album ‘Isolation Is The New Party’ has received rave reviews, had several songs receive major airplay on radio and T.V, and featured on the indie charts. Songs from this album have featured on Shortland St, and Outrageous Fortune.

Some of the festivals they’ve played: Visions, Cuba St Carnival, Auckland Bands in the Park, Destinations, Resolutions, Auckland’s New Years Eve celebration at Aotea Square ‘First Night’, Rhythm and Vines, Whooper Chopper, Taranaki Wine and Food Festival, Parihaka (3 years running), Riverside Peace Festival, Festival of Lights, Organic River Festival, Buddhafield (U.K), Olympos Blues (Turkey).
They have co-headlined gigs with bands such as; The Phoenix Foundation, The Black Seeds, Kora, Cornerstone Roots, Hollie Smith, Odessa, Minuit, Tim Guy and the Tutaes, Steve Abel, Roy G and the Bivinators, The Raggamuffin Children.
and have opened for the likes of; Trinity Roots, Fly My Pretty’s, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Rhombus, The John Butler Trio, Donavon Frankenreiter, and Salmonella Dub. 
TOMMY and The Fallen Horses’ new album Isolation is the New Party is Tommy’s finest to date and features NZ music icons Wayne Mason and Dave Long, as well as members of The Phoenix Foundation, Fat Freddy’s Drop and a host of other talented locals. The album was engineered by Nick McGowan, mixed by Lee Prebble, and mastered by Mike Gibson. 

They have just finished mixing the second Fallen Horses record produced and mixed with Geoff Maddock, mastermind behind Goldenhorse living in California.

Tracks like Dead Poet and Take Tonight have the same feeling of time and space as Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska or Devils and Dust albums. Babe I'm Just Scared and Covenant Maker have a Dave Matthews vocal drama about them, while In The Middle of the Day is reminiscent of Neil Young's dishevelled early days.
