Commissioned by Tokyo Bunka Kaikan as a part of the International joint commission.
World Premier: 13.1.2024, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, performed by Kazuhito Yamane, Fumika Mohri (Vn), Ayako Tahara (Va), and Keisuke Morita (Vc).

The piece was composed in tribute to Kaija Saariaho and was performed alongside her second string quartet 'Terra Memoria'.
This piece can stand alone, as can the first part of the diptych, or it can be played together with the second part.
