This time around we have Diego Azocar delivering two great cuts under his Luxury EP, which also marks his debut for us!

‘Luxury’ starts things off with a percussive groove that is slowly building up layer after layer through the track along with the low end bass line which adds a huge boost to the pulsating groove while rhythmic chord patterns take over and add more vibe and make space to the spaced out synth pads that add a bit of a melancholic vibe to this brilliant track.

Picking up from there is ‘Pugnator’. Based on a devastating percussive, almost tribal groove and hypnotic synth lines and moody strings that lead us to the main break where a little synth riff takes control for a bit and lets you catch your breath before the groove takes the reins again with its raw power.

Alex Nemec comes from the small country called Slovenia, the same little country that brought Umek, Laibach and few other biggies to the world!

Starting to play out in clubs in 1998, he is an experienced dj and most surely best know as being one half of Alex & Filip. The duo has been working together since 2005 till late 2012 and their list of originals and remixes is quite sure impressive.
In the time being they had remixed artists like Dave Seaman, Inkfish, Trafik, Kassey Voorn, Jeff Bennet, Tim Andresen, Autophase, Fiord, Subfractal, Ran Shani, Sonic Union & Bastards of Funk and Soulwerk to name a few. Their originals and remixes appeared on highly respected independent labels like Tronic, Respekt, Rekluse, Baroque, Freshin, Flow Vinyl, Lowbit, MUM, Tulipa, Inkfish, Stripped and many more!

Together they have received the support and respect from well established DJ's from all over the dance music scene including tastemakers like John Digweed, Spektre, Fergie, Dave Seaman, Joseph Capriati, Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Tiesto, Mark Knight, Miniminds, Nick Warren, Loco & Jam, Jim Rivers, Mr. Henry Von, Eddie Halliwell, Dubfire and Tomy DeClerque to name but a few!

Due to different musical views the duo split up in late 2012 just after completing their latest remix for the greek based Movement label.

In the recent years Alex has performed in all the major clubs across Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Bulgaria and shared the decks with some of the world's finest spinners such as; Umek, Johannes Heil, Gabriel D'Or & Bordoy, Petar Dundov, Satoshi Tomiie, Desyn Masiello,Valentino Kanzyani, Adam Beyer, Scarlett Etienne, Paul Woolford, The Beginerz, Steve Porter, Cristian Varella, Technasia among others.

Alex is also the head honcho of Mirabilis Records!
The label was born in 2009 and has created a worldwide buzz in the underground scene since its very first release. Support within the industry has been well received from artists such as; hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Nick Warren, Henry Saiz, King Unique, Fergie, James Talk, Jody Wisternoff, Paolo Mojo, Oliver Moldan, Mark Knight, Funkagenda and Dave Seaman.
Mirabilis Records was truly catapulted to the stars when Sasha and Digweed dropped Ran Shani's "Classics" on the boat party at the World Music Conference!

Alex decided to stay on the techno and prog route which was the sound that they pushed as Alex & Filip and best fits to his mind and musical apeal.
He is now focusing solo on studio work and with originals and remixes coming soon on Natra Viva, Da Fresh's Freshin records and MUM beside others there is definitely no stopping him!

Diego Azocar born in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. His years as a DJ went through many bars of his hometown and eventually opening his mind was listening to different styles of music. Until he found a particular style that marked tendency in his musical life. In his first knowledge of electronic music was influential Knukles Frankie, Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Danny Tennaglia, Sasha, Carl Cox, the most important pioneers of house music. As time was listening to other styles like techno, tech house, deep house, deep progressive house, indie, chill out, ambient, etc.. Many varieties inspired him to scoot to produce, so I hear both artists such as Henry Saiz, Guy J, Guy Gerber, John Digweed, Oxia, Ormatie, Cora Novoa, Christian Smith, Soundexile, Nick Warren, Marc Poppcke, Stelios Vassiloudis , Microtrauma, Martin Garcia, Denis A, Marc Marzenit, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Layo & Bushwacka, Quivver, Secret Cinema, Monaque, Kassey Voorn, Slam, 16 Bit Lolitas, Funk D Void, Jeff Bennett, Jamie Steven, Ioan Odonovan, Marc Cooper, Dousk, Omid 16 bit, Deep Mariano, Luis Junior, Cid Inc, among others to produce their track. It takes little time in production, attended by several renowned artists from the scene electronic Argentine and also seal the track hits RECALL (remixes) in Baires Record, which was used by Hernan Cattaneo in his radioshow number 078 and in the 2012 edition of Creamfields held in Buenos Aires Capital and other national artists.
