O som do Jardim das Horas tem mais a ver com a alegria e a harmonia das flores do que com a obscuridade de cinzas – e foi justamente por esse motivo que, em 2008, o grupo optou por deixar de assinar como O Quarto das Cinzas. O nome, no entanto, não foi abandonado por completo: o primeiro disco do quarteto cearense, lançado em janeiro de 2010, foi batizado como “O Quarto das Cinzas” em homenagem à primeira formação da banda.

Com 12 faixas, e mais uma surpresa acústica, “O Quarto das Cinzas” foi produzido pela própria banda em parceria com Paulo Beto (Anvil FX) e Dustan Gallas (Lucas Santtana, Cidadão Instigado, Júpiter Maçã), recebeu o apoio do Projeto Pixinguinha da Fundação Nacional das Artes e ganhou lançamento pela gravadora (©urve)music™.

O resultado final do álbum é “delicado”, “charmosamente dançante” e “repleto de boas surpresas”, de acordo com resenha publicada na Rolling Stone (nº42). Também pudera: enquanto a melodia vocal de Laya Lopes exibe uma brasilidade inconfundível, a linha instrumental de Carlos Eduardo Gadelha (Guitarra e Programação), Raphael Haluli (Baixo) e Beto Gibbs (Bateria) leva o ouvinte até o universo de Massive Attack e Portishead. É como se trip-hop fosse feito no Brasil no final dos anos 1960, auge do movimento tropicalista – ou, nas palavras da própria banda, “é a fusão da música moderna eletrônica com as raízes musicais brasileiras”.

Como O Quarto das Cinzas, o grupo lançou o EP “A Chave”, de 2007, se apresentou no Programa do Jô, integrou o line-up de diversos festivais da Abrafin (Associação Brasileira de Festivais Independentes) e recebeu convite para o festival texano South By Southwest.

O disco O Quarto das Cinzas ficou em 9º lugar no Votorama da MTV (melhores discos de 2010), vem recebendo boas críticas por todo Brasil e teve sua capa divulgada no site ffffound!!! O maior site de referência de design do mundo.

Fiesta mix 2 (dj monster m) master

Couple of hours ago I was playing with simple and basic tempo changes in many of my favorite EDM songs. I realized that some truly unique songs sound pretty good as well if only their tempo is tweaked. 

Aerodynamic is perhaps one of my favorite songs in the EDM genre. Originally at 122.89 BPM, I slowed the magnificent guitar solo and the last bit of the track to a very calm and relaxing 84.8 BPM.

Sin Diesel - Bowtie (CEDEK Carnival Trap Remix)

A full time, freelance children's book illustrator, introduced to Magix music making software in January 2014.  Haven't been near music production since school about a hundred years ago.  Can't play a note, and sing like a drain unblocking - Hence any music I may eventually have the nerve to upload is all created using midi/vst instruments playing compositions created in the piano roll editor.   The Magix forum dedicated to music production is the only place to suffer my creations so far.  Didn't realise it could be so much fun though.  Woohoo.
