Straight back in after their almighty remix on Kid Only's Remixes EP we welcome Ian Jay &amp; Matt Williams! It's a pleasure for us to push the lads first EP, and trust us it's a big one! Stamping out 2 original tracks that fuse that light feel good house breakdown with an absolutely booting tech house core. These lads are producers we have labeled 'ones to watch' and it's no real surprise why! We've been sitting on these for some time now and we've brought in some real heavy remixes to top it off!

Apollo 84 is someone we've been following a while now and Konflicted Soul is one of the freshest new artists to hit the scene, really getting his name on lips at the moment. It was a no brainer for us to link up with these guys when they said they were interested in being part of the ever growing Criminal Hype family. These lads give the release that next level for when energies really move up a gear. Heavy, rolling tech vibes that just shake you!

Greco is one of the U.S's best new house producers without a shadow of a doubt! After tearing it up on our sister label Ranura with his 'Hart Plaza' we couldn't wait to work with him again (before his forthcoming EP). He brings a no nonsense bass attack on his re work. Deep, moving raw bass that drops in after a real quirky teasing build! Prefect peak time stuff!

Fresh talent from The Netherlands is making their debut on Chief Recordings. The Utrecht based duo House Soldiers teamed up with Noah Petersen for a wicked EP. Their collaboration resulted in three cool original tracks. On the flipside we have a heavy remix by Lee Jeffrey.
The first track is called “It’s Yours”, a solid tech house tune with a sweet groove. The track is completed with classic synth stabs and vocal shots.
Chief invited the UK based producer Lee Jeffrey to remix the track “It’s Yours”, and he delivered an heavy sub-based groovy version.
Third track on the list is called “Delusive”. This track has an addictive synth melody, a stomping groove and some powerful vocal effects. Final track on the EP is called “The Record” which has a funky bassline and a wicked rhythm section.

Technique Recordings head-honcho’s @DrumsoundandBasslineSmith have had a massive year; adding to this their remix of @KennyKen’s iconic track “Everyman” and they’re looking to continue their explosive takeover of 2019. 

War on Silence debuted to the drum and bass scene in November 2018 and since this point they’ve had a consistent stream of stellar releases - spearheading outputs from the likes of Heist, Funtcase, Malux, Teddy Killerz, its creator Crissy Criss and many more. And following their forthcoming release, a remix from Drumsound & Bassline Smith, it’s certain to say they won’t be slowing down with their high calibre flow of records.

With the original legendary track also featuring DRS (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), it was first dropped in 1994, before being reworked by legends such as Kenny Ken himself, Benny Page, DJ Monk as well as a host of other taste making names over the years. Each time, the benchmark has been set even higher from the original; every artist has added their own signature palette with every version. Boasting of 24 years of history, the remix criterion is once again about to be brought through a new lens, although this time by Drumsound & Bassline Smith who add their own signature flavours along with the 2019 jungle drum and bass texture.

When Drumsound & Bassline Smith take on Kenny Ken’s “Everyman” you can instantly detect their moniker, peddling a different vibe whilst infusing a high level of energy, something which can be witnessed throughout their live sets. The junglist vocals offer the original warmth to the track, setting it up to face the twisting of its drop. It’s first breakdown will propel its listener across any dancefloor and with each almighty roar, it flourishes with the heavyweight crisp bass credentials Drumsound & Bassline Smith have become renowned for.

One could describe Mirco Caruso’s previous career with just three words: “haste makes waste”.  The club-musician with Italian roots’ approach to music is never contrived - nor does he care for exclusive hype or shallow bandwagoning. Mirco Caruso’s career is embossed by a gravitas that has consistently and continuously led him to the music that reflects his passion the most.
The steep rise that started with his first tech house release in 2014 - and was followed by broad international support and gigs around the world - suddenly came to a halt in 2020 when Covid hit.
Yet, against all odds, this marks the beginning of Caruso’s musical and artistic transition. After struggling with finding new inspiration and creativity amidst a world turned upside down, passion finally was reignited after visiting a concert that would inspire a profound change. A change that has ultimately resulted in his newly formed moniker «MICA» that represents an equally newly formed, inherently melodic and dreamy signature sound. One thing, though, remains unchanged: MICA’s impeccable flair for deeply touching productions and his incredible skill set in the studio. Surely, it won’t be long, until his music yet again finds its way back into the rotations of the biggest names in the industry.
