Horus sat on the edge of the cybernetic pyramid, his falcon eyes watching the glitching horizon. For a long time, he had suspected it—the reality trembled beneath the surface, as if every moment of it was synchronized into a perfect pattern, like an invisible flow of energy.

“What if the world is just code?” he murmured.

Beside him stood Thovt, an old master of wisdom, now in the form of a sound engineer. He smiled and said, “If it is, then Neurofunk is its error log.”

Horus nodded. Maybe he was right. Maybe it was enough to find the right frequency… and escape.

Horus seděl na okraji kybernetické pyramidy, jeho sokolí oči sledovaly glitchující horizont. Už dlouho měl podezření – realita se chvěla pod povrchem, jako by každý její okamžik byl synchronizován do dokonalého vzorce, jako neviditelný tok energie.

„Co když je svět jen kód?“ zamumlal.

Vedle něj stál Thovt, starý mistr moudrosti, tentokrát v podobě zvukového inženýra. Usmál se a řekl: „Jestli ano, pak je Neurofunk jeho error log.“

Horus přikývl. Možná měl pravdu. Možná stačilo jen najít správnou frekvenci… a dostat se ven.

Joyce Medi | DJ / Producer

A passionate electronic music artist, Joyce Medi, formerly known as DJ NEVER DIE, has forged a unique style throughout a rich and ever-evolving career.

It was under his first alias, DJ NEVER DIE, that he began his journey in the late 90s within the hardcore movement. Recognized for his talent and technical mastery, he quickly made a name for himself in Switzerland, as well as in France and Germany, honing a versatile and daring approach behind the decks.

2005 marked a decisive turning point. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, he set out to explore new horizons and discovered Minimal Techno. This style became his new signature, which he has passionately developed ever since. During this prolific period, he performed at prestigious venues and renowned festivals:
Clubs: Kit Kat Club (Berlin), Studio (Strasbourg), D! Club (Lausanne), Mythic Club (Fribourg), RKC (Vevey)...
Festivals: Electroziles Festival (Sion), Synergy Festival (Payerne)...

Over the years, he has shared the stage with international artists such as Barem, Industrialyzer, Gayle San, Alan Fitzpatrick, Spartaque, Citizen Kain, and many more, strengthening his reputation in the electronic music scene.

Today, under the name Joyce Medi, he fully embodies his artistic evolution. Entirely devoted to this project, he develops a distinctive sound in the studio. His productions, available on all platforms including Beatport, are the direct extension of his universe, confirming both his maturity and his status as a seasoned artist.

NBC9 released his second full-length album State of Control on September 19, 2025, a record that defines his cinematic, bass-driven take on drum and bass. The album follows his 2024 return and marks a key milestone in a journey that has reestablished him as a progressive force in the genre. This December, he will deliver Fragments 2.0, a remix album expanding on the original Fragments project that featured Exile, Yasuki, Xtinctor, Lunatronic, AGRO, Irontype, and JRace & Albert White. That project brought international attention and wide DJ support, with each artist reshaping NBC9’s sound through styles ranging from deep rollers to heavy neuro.

As the head of Embassy 9 Recordings, NBC9 has created a home for his own output as well as a space for collaborators to explore forward-thinking drum and bass. His productions are designed with a dual purpose: to resonate in personal listening settings and to hit with power on dancefloors.

Before his return to drum and bass, NBC9 built an underground reputation under the name Influenza in the early 2000s nu skool breakbeat scene. Releases on Pure Funk, Illeven Eleven, Sponge, and Epidemic reached audiences across North America and the UK, with his music played in iconic venues such as Fabric London.

Two decades on, NBC9 stands with more clarity and intent than ever, blending experience with innovation to drive a sound that continues to evolve.
