After launching 2025 with STOUT’s stunning original version of “Grateful”, we’re excited to breathe new life into the single with a soulfully crafted remix by Chicago’s own Emmaculate. A trusted name in deep and soulful house circles, Emmaculate brings his signature groove to this heartfelt anthem — layering rich textures, infectious rhythms, and dancefloor-ready energy while staying true to the spirit of the original.

STOUT (Denise Renee), a powerhouse singer and songwriter from New Haven, Connecticut, made her Mirror Ball debut with “Grateful”, a deeply expressive track blending gospel roots with funk and soul. From her early beginnings playing drums and singing in her great-grandmother's basement church to touring globally with Alicia Keys and performing alongside legends like Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, and Lenny Kravitz, STOUT’s journey is one of passion, power, and perseverance.

The original version of “Grateful” was produced by Supa Dave West, known for his rich discography with De La Souland collaborations with Talib Kweli, Slum Village, Planet Asia, J Dilla, and more. His raw, authentic production laid the perfect foundation for STOUT’s soulful delivery.

Now, with Emmaculate’s remix, “Grateful” is set to find new life on dancefloors around the world — an inspired blend of spiritual uplift and rhythmic sophistication.
