Last but not least, is some downright full and funky Neuro business with sweeping reece and a deep backbone. Prepare yourself to be enveloped by “Evo."

GRAM Podcast 37 - BTK (Virus, Dutty Audio)

Like cricket, football and rugby, drum and bass originated in good ol' Blighty and much like the aforementioned sports, it's gone global. Inevitably this means the UK's time as a drum and bass superpower may well be limited as the talent pool deepens and the genre continues to expand its reach.

Bulgarian producer L33 is a case in point with his intricate production skills having helped place Bulgaria's burgeoning D&B scene on the map. His impressive back catalogue has seen him release tunes for the likes Program, Eatbrain, Rise Audio, Titan, Addictive Behaviour and Lifted Music and pick up support from the likes of heavyweight artists Andy C, DJ Hype, Dillinja and Noisia. All this he's still yet to blow the candles out on his 22nd birthday. We'd be jealous if we weren't enjoying his music so much.

So with his career continuing to sky rocket, DJ sets at underground parties across Europe, main stage action at Let It Roll  and a headline set alongside Commix, Doc Scott and Halogenix at London nightspot The Qube Project for Addictive Behaviour December 4th, we thought there was no time like the present to welcome him to our Mix Of The Day series. And guess what? We were right...

With more than 20 years of constant work on his own musical and artistic visions in the studio (sonically and visually) Germany’s Misanthrop is no stranger to the international Drum & Bass scene at all.

He was caught up by the dark sounds and menacing beats of drum and bass in the early nineties, when he decided to produce his own tracks under the moniker Misanthrop. His trademark is without a doubt a combination of experienced production skills and musical intuition paired with unlimited need for creative and technical progression!

With his hard hitting and distinctive sound his back catalogue ranges from successful releases on RAM, Blackout, Vision, Division, Shogun Audio, OWSLA, Mau5trap, Renegade Hardware,Shadow Law, Cyanide, Subtitles Music and his own imprint Neosignal Recordings.

As DJ, the south german based musician has toured most of the worlds DnB locations, clubs and festivals. His sets are known for flawless mixing, deep cutting edge funk and enough energy to split an atom.

His music gains steady support by international top acts like Amon Tobin, Noisia, Skrillex, Foreign Beggars, Andy-C, Koan Sound, Friction, Goldie, Skream, Alix Perez, Rockwell, Phace, Mefjus etc.

Misanthrop is more as one to watch, he has always been around and just waited for the right moment to step out of the shade.
