A highly anticipated tradition at Viper, the Annual Compilation is a celebration of the past year, featuring 26 tracks from a mix of familiar faces sprinkled with some of the scene’s hottest up-and-comers. Hand picked by label head honcho Futurebound himself, this year’s Annual 2023 features some of the year’s biggest hits from Jack Mirror, Blaine Stranger, V O E, Solomon France, Dossa & Locuzzed, Madface, BMotion, and more, sitting alongside records from Exile, DEAD WAX, CaitC, Houndeye, Deep Notion, and other ones to watch. Covering the full spectrum of Drum & Bass, Annual 2023 is the perfect celebration of another incredible year for Viper Recordings. 

Before unleashing the full album, the Annual 2023 Sampler offers a perfect taste of what’s in store, featuring three brand new exclusives from some of the scene’s best and brightest. 

First up, Madface teams up with Lottie Woodward, both familiar names to the label, with the explosive dancefloor track “High Above”. One of Viper’s latest signings, Madface has certainly been making waves the past year, so Annual 2023 wouldn’t have been complete without at least one new track from the Czech producer. Teaming up with the ethereal songstress Lottie Woodward, this powerful ballad features infectious vocals alongside vibrant danecfloor drops for the ultimate feel-good party anthem. 

Next up to bat is a new name to Viper with Deep Notion’s “Don’t Worry Bout Them”. An alluring cinematic intro paints an enchanting picture before introducing more tech-y influences leading up to a mind blowing drop. The juxtaposition of such a gentle opening against such a bass forward drop encapsulates the Viper sound perfectly, and we’ll be sure to keep an eye on Deep Notion. 

Last but certainly not least, CaitC joins the label with her debut single “Feel” featuring Christina Harrison on vocals. One of the hottest DJs to emerge in recent years, CaitC’s production is certainly on par with her stage presence, and combined with the mesmerizing vocals of Christina Harrison, “Feel” is a track you won’t soon forget. The ultimate liquid dancefloor record, hearing such immense productions from the new generation of producers is not only a testament to the influence Viper has held over the scene over the past 15+ years, but also to the strength and innovation of the scene as a whole. 

With three powerful new records to start, there’s no denying that big things are in store with Annual 2023 – the perfect end to arguably one of the label’s strongest year yet. Packed full of new and exciting talent together with legends like Futurebound himself, you will only find these sounds on the mighty Viper Recordings.

One of Viper’s newest and most promising signings, Madface delivers his classic dancefloor sound by way of “Falling”. Ethereal and straight to the point, engaging vocals add to the infectious energy of the tune before dropping into one of his funkiest drops yet. Singalong synths pair with vibrant pads for a classic dancefloor drop that is sure to get any crowd moving and singing along.  The next look at Annual 2024 comes from Cait C and Christina Harrison who made their Viper debut together this time last year with “Feel”. Now, teaming up again one year later, the pair have outdone themselves with “By Your Side”. Christina Harrison’s velvet vocals exude power and charm, while Cait C builds up into a decimating dancefloor drop. Catchy and heavy in all the right places, “By Your Side” is a modern DnB ballad for the ages.  The final taste of Annual 2024 comes from Feed The Fire and OHKAY with “Forget Me”. Marking the German producer’s Viper debut and UK – based OHKAY’s follow-up to her track “Restart” with Sound In Noise & Aktive, “Forget Me” is a sultry dancefloor banger full of enticing vocals and energetic basslines for the new generation of ravers.  Wrapping up the series of Samplers before the full album drops, all the artists invovled have, unsurprisingly, impressed with their offerings, and excitement couldn’t be higher for the full release of Annual 2024, dropping early next year.

Mean Teeth - Fear Is In You

Passion, enthusiasm and a good dose of self-confidence. These three words describes him probably best. Already in his early childhood Mischa Dash, whose real name is Michael Fikus, discovered his penchant for electronic music and its fringe genres.

Year by year a love developed, which seemed to be for life. After a short time it was clear that he was not only fascinated by this music genre as a listener. Rather he wanted to contribute himself to make the development of this genre known in the greater Wuppertal area.

At the age of 16 he gained his first experience in the scene and was able to steadily expand his knowledge and skills, which brought him recognition and attention. Gradually his fame increased in his environment and he could show first club gigs.

"Not every gig was given to me, I had to work hard for some of them", says Dash.

In the following years Mischa Dash played in every club known in the city, but could also put his stamp on the scene of Dortmund, Düsseldorf or Cologne. His greatest successes came when he won two competitions against many other talented competitors.

The 30-year-old won the Open Beatz DJ contest for the pre-party with superstar Don Diablo at the Nachtresidenz | Düsseldorf. One year later he won the It's All About The Music/Titania Festival DJ-Contest at the Bootshaus | Cologne and recently the DJ Contest at Spring Break Island, Croatia. Due to his playtime in the best club in Germany, more and more requests came to the still young artist including a gig at the New Horizons Festival, Stereo Sunday, Noa Beach Club, Bootshaus Cologne and releases on SkinK Records, WePlay and Goldfire.
