player in the regions underground party scene for well over a decade. From cutting his teeth back at Leeds' infamous Techno stronghold  Ketoloco, to dropping his well renowned House Grooves at some of the Norths biggest and best festivals such as Beat-Herder and Solfest. Hes been a resident for Sheffield's DuskTilDawn and a regular on the City's UK MONDO radio where he has held monthly 2 hour show... for the last 5 years..  Its safe to say that any party is is in very safe hands when Benny is at the helm

Finger Lickin Records were the home to many great Breakbeat artists and DJs. Started back in 1998 by Justin Rushmoore and Jem Panufnik (known collectively as Soul of Man) they were at the forefront innovating the breaks scene with new music and artists, selling a pile of vinyl records throughout the year 2000 and onwards.

Footnote: this is my 2nd favourite mix from my previous guise as DJ Smart; recorded around 2001 at a time when current DnB was depressing me and the only place I could hear these sorts of tunes was out of my own speakers. 

Incidentally, my favourite mix from this era was also recorded to minidisc, one of those one-pass mixes, no mistakes, no clashing, decent selection, nothing too obvious, lots of styles... in my rose-tinted memories it was perfect. Anyway, I accidentally deleted the master a few days later. It was horrific, I'm glad minidiscs are long extinct.
