My Current Voyage: Finding My Voice  

The DJs I admire most have something to say, they tell stories with their time on the tables, and take their audience on a journey. There are so many DJs in the world and a lot of range in that title today. I have to admit that I had some hesitation before embarking on this adventure because of just that. “Oh, another DJ”. This thought comes in and out as the feeling of defeat ebbs and flows through my education path. However, that feeling never sticks around long enough because I’ve never felt so connected to something. I can feel it in my body when I play. This is something I am meant to learn. 

Now that I understand the 101, my journey the last few months has been centered around finding my voice. What do I want to say? Where do I want to take people? What can I play to impact someone’s experience?

This mix is the beginning of that voyage. I finally feel like I’m narrowing down on who I am and what I can offer as a DJ. That feeling feels like a burst of light out of my chest, a little like a frog in my throat, and full of electric charge in my body. Thank you for taking the time to listen. Enjoy the journey 🚀

I’m sad. I’m angry. I’m frustrated and disappointed. My heart hurts for what is happening to my trans friends and their community. They are humans. And humans deserve equal rights. Period. 


I woke up feeling extra heavy and moved through yesterday carrying this sadness with me. The night before I saw a video that broke my heart more than any other. I’ve been staying up-to-date with all of the hearings and everything that’s been going on, but this video broke me. My heart knew I needed to contribute in some way and then I thought about the song by Timmy Thomas, Why Can’t We Just Live Together. I knew that I needed to use music to express these feelings that have stuck with me. This is a dedication to the trans community. My heart is in these tracks. I love you. I support you. And I hope for nothing more than your rights to be as equal as a white man in America. I hope this gives you a reason to celebrate yourself and gets you out of your mind for 88 minutes to groove and honor your body. Stay strong, we need you <3

Remember Ms. Frizzle? Yeah, the 90’s cartoon school teacher that took her students around in a magical school bus on the most playful, experiential journeys that made learning fun? Well, meet Miss Frizzle - an LA based DJ that brings that same spirit to the dance floor.

Her goal in curating your boogie experience is centered around the groove. Playing music that encourages the stiffest of bodies to wiggle to the beat - bouncing from funk to house but always finding her home at disco. Her sets are frisky and full of life. She hopes to share something that inspires you to dance, ignites your soul, and takes your mind out of your body and into the music.
