Let the Drum Tell You is about shamanic drumming. It's about connecting with the elements, finding that transcendental place from where healing happens. It's about the drum as both an instrument and a teacher and healer. 

In mid October 2017 I was in need of some healing and processing of a series of unpleasant events in recent months. I woke up in the night whilst I was having a  dream in which a dear friend was playing a gigantic frame drum that had animal bones tied all around it. As I was remembering the dream I could feel this song coming so I grabbed the guitar and wrote words and music simultaneously.

  We normally play it live in a stripped down fashion with just the frame drum, guitar and our voices. However for this production I chose to enhance the epic nature I feel underlies the track. The frame drum and the djembe are still the pulse and heartbeat but alongside guitar and vocals I created many layers of rhythmic and ethereal sounds to weave a colourful tapestry.

I wish for this song to bring you healing and be of support to you in your practises and your lives.

A finnish medicine song made by me, to connect with the inner child and to take on a journey, also a calling of the four elements.

Melt Away

The first of my first two official recordings, this etheric, shamanic-flute-prayer-offering with the Suling flute is dedicated to our Ancestors - the Ancient Ones - those who have walked on this Earth long before us and to whose ways we turn to to remember and awaken from the slumber of modern global culture. "Ancestral Awakening" also implies the energy of ancestral healing. May our awakening/healing of our ancestry manifest with ease and grace, with the help of the plants, community, and the sacred. May these awakenings help us create right relationship, as a global whole, with Pachamama, all her sacred beings, all her sacred elements, in order to walk in beauty once again, not just for ourselves, but for all the future generations to come. Bamboo is a teacher of the wisdom of patience and the importance of rooting before growing and flying. Bamboo can take 5-7 years of "rooting" itself down into the earth before it sprouts up and grows (fastest growing plant on earth - after rooting, of course ;)up to 35 inches/day. So before all you youngers get ahead of yourselves and your journey of awakening, receive the wisdom from the ancestors and from bamboo: One Step At A Time is the only way to walk. Remember to root, build your foundation/nest, and take your time doing so, so that when you are ready, you can really grow! Just one perspective and one way to be it ...
