Mike Drama is one of the main actors in the Hardtechno scene in The Netherlands nowadays. His unique style, full of energy while making his work in the dj booth, together with his striking mixing technic – always playing in 3 decks – provides astonishing moments to the crowd. He is always pushing his sets to the limit and that why the crowd loves him. 
Thanks to his high quality dj sets and strong performances the “Dutch Ambassador of Hardtechno” had the chance to play in different events around Europe & Americas, highlight to Awakenings, Time Warp, Ruhr in Love, Decibel, Defqon, Ground Zero and Qbase!   
Besides his work as a DJ he is also a very important man behind the curtains. He runs two of the most important hard techno labels - Cannibal Society & Mental Torments Records – and he is an active promoter of the style, organizing parties in NL since 2000.

German duo Obscure Shape & SHDW drop three robust Techno tracks in their first full release on Rekids this May.

One of the most exciting acts in Techno today, Obscure Shape & SHDW are the founders of From Another Mind - the label and party series making waves in South-Germany. Aside from Rekids, where they remixed Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’ last year, the pair’s abilities in the studio have seen them invited by Slam for two separate remixes of Monoloc and Envoy on Soma, with more projects to be announced.

‘Himmel Und Erde’ is a cavernous cut boasting colossal kicks and skipping percussion before a tantalising melody comes into play. ‘Am Ende Der Welt’ is more deep and atmospheric in comparison, blending dusky percussion with echoing synths until ‘Gefallene Engel’ demonstrates syncopated drums and an otherworldly hook that conjure up a mesmerising aesthetic to conclude the release.

We're very happy to welcome our brothers AnD for our seventh TNDB-podcast. AnD really don't need any introduction. After 15 years, Andrew & Dimitri are deeply rooted in the scene. One of the biggest technoacts alive, label owners of @innersurfacemusic and their own imprint, releases on various big labels like Electric Deluxe, it's impossible to overlook AnD. 

AnD started their longstanding career being influenced by the more harder techno, industrial and uncompromising. The years after they broadened their musical spectrum. Their hard, fast and industrial EP's like AnD002, made room for their album "Cosmic Microwave Background" (2014) on Speedy J's label Electric Deluxe. With this album AnD made it known that other sounds like drum & bass, drone and ambient aren't unfamiliar territories.

Their last album "Social Decay" (2017), also on Electric Deluxe, showed even more that the guys are willing to overcome boundaries in electronic music. They are able to produce tracks that are not solely 4x4 bangers, but also tracks that captivate and force you to broaden your taste in electronic music. Their interests extend even further than techno, as the pair produce art, scores and more.

One of the biggest techno acts with two of the biggest hearts we know, we are very humbled to welcome our friends AnD for our seventh podcast.

TNDB-podcast no. 07: AnD

Next up in the Unsound Podcast series is another live recording from Unsound 2018, and another special collaboration between two acclaimed artists - a blistering live set by heavy techno hitters @ewa-justka and @mannidee, which took place in Hotel Forum's Ballroom at 2am. Coming from two different backgrounds (noise and bass music respectively), the two artists are stalwart names in techno and acid, who together released the politically charged industrial banger "London Isn't England". Hidden behind a wall of stroboscopic lights, the duo delivered one of their rare live collaborations - ultrafast, dizzying and stupefying.

10 mixes in and its about fucking time for one from the generalissimo. Originally I'd planned to just start playing records, see where it went and send it to another podcast if it was worthy. But the mix ended up capturing the full spectrum of a Powerhouse club night and its energy, from the deep to the wild and the soul, in all its gnarly glory (minus the Gabba, my apologies) so nae cunt else is getting it!! All wax and making full use of the Reloop turntables' +16 pitch fader function. Fucking herewe!!

Big Lucid started Powerhouse almost 2 and a half years ago, first as a mash up of Techno, DNB, Gabber and Speedcore down at Sketchy Beats, but quickly took it to the Mash House with a vision of rekindling the no holds barred wild energy of the original Tresor and Ostgut clubs mixed with the age old Scottish tradition of Hardcore and getting far too fucking feral inside nightclubs. The result has been a wanton abuse of speed and a fucking lot of fire alarms. It's been glorious!!

Catu Diosis is up next with an hour of upbeat Ugandan music from kuduro and afro house to acholi. Catu Diosis is a Kampala based DJ and member of the Nyege Nyege collective and is currently based in Cologne. While on tour in Europe in March Uganda introduced travel restrictions in and out of the country but this very talented individual (who not only DJ's but also produces and is a professional dancer) has taken it in her stride and is doing a one year internship for Migrafrica in Germany while also running a DJ workshop locally called Dope Gal Africa to encourage Black and African women, a demographic who are currently under represented in the DJ world, to learn the craft. Massive thanks to Catu for sending us this wild mix.

Missing Tapes 003 : Catu Diosis

Next up in the mix series is multifaceted artist Astrid Gnosis. Astrid was the last DJ to play at our party at La Cheetah Club, Glasgow pre lockdown and had quite the effect on the crowd who basically ripped the booth apart while dancing so hard. The Valencian has great affection for Scotland and Scottish comedian Limmy in particular who's responsible for the vocal sample 'Gnosis' that features throughout the mix. Expect pure hardcore power!

Missing Tapes 005 sees Jasmine Infiniti bring her wild and intense style to the mix series. Jasmine was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in the ballroom scene. Her DJ roots lay in Oakland, California where she and friends started the party and now label 'New World Dysorder' that centres trans creatives, performers, and musicians. Jasmine also released an album of absolute fire 'BXTCH SLÄP' earlier this year so be sure to check that out on Bandcamp. Big thanks to Jasmine for sending us this mix.
