Gothic Farmyard project. 1980 to 1985. Gothic Farmyard, an alternative early 80's Australian band who stockpiled songs, however, released studio recorded cassette tapes (limited edition) a live tape and only now are they featured on a compilation CD. The band were described as frenetic, provocative, entertaining, noisy, silly, humorous and engaging by local press and the band described the press the sameway. History: They gigged solidly from 1980 to 1985 with bands ranging from The Scientists, The Johnnys, Beargarden, Sacred Cowboys, Harem Scarem to No Fixed Address, and other touring acts. Known as Gothic Farmyard although not really a gothic subculture band.      Based on a true story.

Eclectic ( I try), Australian Visual Artist-Musician. Hello all - UPDATE Xtrobitz Project 2025. Christopher Russell - Hey, thanks for still listening.   I have been spending time painting recently due to ongoing spinal injuries  and more surgery recently that has affected my ability to play many instruments.
Hopefully, I will get to try out a handcrafted harp made by a family wood artisan.  I would love to collaborate with creative musical projects in the recording domain. However, I never say never and hope to be able to finish some musical ideas as soon as everything calms down and heals as much as possible. 😊 Fingers crossed. The soundtrack multimedia, etc. project of former GOTHIC FARMYARD, (circa early youthful 1980s) drummer-instrumentalist, Xristo Russell, and other pseudonyms over the past 45ys. My ongoing project is Xtrobitz, with occasional contributions from other musicians, which is more fun. My involvement in other bands from the past:  Blackwater (70s), Gothic Farmyard, Moonshots (King Jerklews), KKlux Frankenstein, The Delightfuls blues band, Bronwyn Johnson Blues band, etc, Electronic music Mr Megatron, Tin Ears. 
Many recording contributions, mainly drums for hire, and I record on my new Roland TD27KV2 now. The acoustic gear is packed away, Etc. Xtrobitz music project includes fragmented guitar, keyboard soundscapes, and rhythms to help propel this set of instrumentals, short soundtracks, and snapshots.  I give my best shot for amusement these days.

The band have released 3 cd's since forming in 2012. 
Firstly "Tricky Triangle" (which has now completely sold out) their second cd called "Break out your radio" and their new cd called 'Howling Red Invasion'.

Welcome to the Red Dogs reverbnation page. Red Dogs were formed in 2012 in Osaka, Japan and have been steadily growing in popularity not only in their own country but across the world.

The band specialised in the sort of catchy choruses that could put an ear-to-ear smile on the face of any music fan.

Red Dogs, a Japanese all-girl rock/punk band all the way from Osaka. With Haruka on vocals and bass, Kazumi on drums and Satoko on guitar – these three women commanded the stage with an electric presence, their pop-culture dress at a creative clash with their songs of shaken-up rock slicing at the ears with almost haunting vocal harmonies.

Red Dogs have played in numerous venues in and around Japan but in 2015 saw Red Dogs play at the AWOD festival in Derby - UK supporting punk legends 'Conflict' and numerous other bands. As quoted by Steve AWOD they 'smashed it' at this years AWOD!! 
 
Rock in Japan is still seen as a primarily male genre of music, but that doesn't discourage Red Dogs. They are aware that the odds are stacked against them but that isn't going to stop them in their tracks. Many people think that girls can't be cool as boys as drummers or as musicians in general so they work damn hard to be cool as them. 

The band wants to show people the power of women and that they can be just as good. Red Dogs really want people to see their shows and think "Wow", explains the band. 
 
Even though Red Dogs might look like cute girls but they say their live shows are intense, spectacle with thick solid slabs of sound soiled with attitude and specialised in the sort of catchy choruses that could put an ear-to-ear smile on the face of any music fan. 

The band describes their music as definitely rock with a punk tempo and some metalcore influences mixed in to their sound. Also the band says that even though their music uses mirror melodies the lyrics are positive and "forwarding facing". 

The band themselves sing in Japanese but it's proof too that rock music doesn’t even have to be in our native language for us to feel part of it.

In October 2016 the girls set off on their first ever tour of Japan with The Varukers (UK) and Extinct Government (Japan). 8 cities including 1 punk festival all crammed into 9 manic days.

(2017) saw the girls back to the UK with a four day tour taking in: 
London - Thursday 13th July - The Unicorn - Camden 
Manchester - Friday 14th July - The Star and Garter 
Leicester - Saturday 15th July - Duffy's Bar 
Derby - Sunday 16th July - The Hairy Dog (Punks against Cancer festival)

With more offers of gigs, festivals, numerous radio play from around the world and 1 of the band songs taken from "Break out your Radio" cd which ais featured in a new "Vampire" film it looks like it is going to be a very busy time ahead for the Red Dogs girls.
