ARTIST BIO — DARK GRACE

Emerging from the shadows of a period of global isolation, Dark Grace presents itself not as a conventional band, but as a recovered sonic artifact — an echo of compulsive creation born during enforced confinement. Shrouded in ambiguity and silence, the project is believed to have originated from scattered recording sessions, captured in uncertain locations, where introspection became raw material and emotional decay took musical form.

At the center of this entity stands Elias Graves, a figure of austere presence and deep baritone voice, whose delivery shifts between liturgical recitation and restrained despair. His vocal approach seeks not catharsis, but permanence — as if each word were carved in stone. Graves assumes the role of narrator and confessor, guiding the listener through a terrain where love, death, and memory coexist without resolution.

Alongside him appears Serenella, a female voice from Edinburgh, whose involvement remains veiled in uncertainty. Distant, ethereal, and at times almost spectral, Serenella does not answer — she echoes. Her presence introduces a dual dimension: light filtered through darkness, or perhaps only the illusion of it. Together, they form a fragmented dialogue, as though two consciousnesses separated by time, space, or sanity itself.

Musically, Dark Grace inhabits a space between gothic metal and doom, with slow tempos, heavily downtuned guitars, and an atmosphere that favors hypnotic repetition and gradual emotional construction. The compositions frequently draw from adaptations of classical poetry, interwoven with original texts, forming a lyrical body that oscillates between decadent romanticism and existential introspection.

PSALMS FOR THE DYING LIGHT — VOLUME I: DESCENT

Volume I: Descent marks the beginning of the passage — a slow, irreversible descent into the interior of an isolated mind. The tracks that compose this first volume reflect a state of progressive rupture: the initial light fades, replaced by echoes of loss, obsession, and emotional disintegration.

Opening with From Light I Came, a point of origin is established — not as a clear memory, but as a trace. From there, the album moves into increasingly dense territory, with Beneath the Ruins of  My Soul and Before the Mirror exploring the fragmentation of identity. Adaptations of classical poetry, such as She Walks in Beauty and The Vampire, emerge as distortions of beauty and desire, reframed through a somber lens.

Tracks like A Lost Love, Echo, and Remember function as intimate confessions, where musical repetition reinforces a sense of emotional entrapment. The presence of more unsettling narratives — such as The Black Cat — introduces a disturbing psychological dimension, where the boundary between reality and delusion begins to dissolve.

In its final stretch, Darkness, After Death, and When I Am Dead, My Dearest consolidate the fall: there is no resolution, only quiet acceptance. The volume closes with The Vampire, not as a climax, but as a symbol — of what remains, even after everything else has faded.
