GAMES - Debut EP - OUT NOW

Jordy Burns is Sydney-based vocalist and multi instrumentalist with influences such as Adele, Lewis Capaldi and Muna. Her debut single off the upcoming EP has been widely embraced by Apple Music, triple j Unearthed and Australian community radio stations such as SYN Media, 4ZZZ and UCFM. In the online space, her track has been supported by Pilerats, Australian Music Scene, Eat This Music, Something You Said and AAA Backstage. Her second single, SECOND CHANCES has already had triple j success playing on Home and Hosted. 
 
With a background in classical music on the cello and trumpet, Jordy also studied opera and musical theatre in New York City at the age of 17. After moving back to Australia, Jordy has established her craft as a songwriter and performer, fronting a number of Sydney based bands. Her soulful powerhouse vocals intertwined with lilting cello influences and hints of electronic pop will have you singing at the top of your lungs with the windows down. 

Her debut EP ‘Games’ is now streaming and available for purchase via Bandcamp.

Since forming in 2017 off the back of a home recording project, Mild West has grown from a traditional alt-rock group into a baroque synth orchestra that delivers dense sonic palettes over energetic beats. The band released their debut EP 'Howler' shortly after their first run of shows, and continued to develop their live performance into drawn out pseudo-medlys of their studio works. This soon led to the band picking up slots at Port Macquarie's Festival of the Sun through Triple J Unearthed, and Byron Bay Falls Festival by the end of their first year together.

The group has since added a live cellist and a second synth player to expand their sonic horizons and explore interesting combinations of neo-classical, psychedelic, and indie rock music. Mild West's second EP 'Only Sleep' puts these genre diverse elements on display, and explores themes of the gradual decay of childhood innocence. The band is constantly searching for new ways to develop their sound, and looks to consistently evolve as they work on new material.
