My great old friend @pax_h requested me to do an instrumental version of what I personally think is my greatest track I made so far. Removing the vocals left a gap, so .... had to add more melody to it.

Silent Eclipse

Inspired by the Laibach / Mina Špiler version my take on the wonderful Beatles song. ☮

Across the universe

Track was created using system consisting of modules mostly created by Random House’s Serge Modules.  Some of the modules used were Medusa Subharmonic Oscillator and NTO to FM the Medusa, VC Resonant Equaliser and a Serge 8-Stage Sequencer/Programmer.   Full patch details are not provided at this time. Recording was made directly into two tracks of a Zoom H6 Recorder.  A computer was used only for mastering purposes.  Basically it is was a one take effort.

Here's another musical dream to share! I hope you enjoy it—though, honestly, I'm not sure what drives me to do this sometimes. This time, I ventured into experimenting with voice. I was a bit hesitant about publishing it, but then I thought, why not? After all, we're here to explore and try new things. Cheers to everyone!

A dimly lit city street. The air is heavy with waiting. The bus stop stands silent. Buildings loom overhead. I stand alone, my breath slow, uncertain—until I notice him. A man, all in black. Trench coat brushing against the wind, his short hat pulled low. His face? A void. As though he could vanish at any moment

Me: I’ve been standing here too long. The bus should have come by now. Should I start walking? If I do and it arrives, I’ll miss it. But if I stay, maybe nothing will come. What am I supposed to do?

The Man: Where do you want to go?

Me: I don’t know.
The silence wraps around me. He tilts his head slightly, as if seeing something I cannot.

The Man: Then maybe that’s why no bus is coming.

Me: What does that mean?

The Man: If you wanted to go to the sky, you’d take a plane. If you wanted to cross a lake, you’d take a boat. If you wanted to move through the roads, you’d take a car.

Me: And the bus?

The Man: It takes you to where you’ve decided to go. But you—you're standing still. The bus won’t arrive because you haven’t chosen.

Me: I only feel comfortable on solid ground. The air and the water—they unsettle me. But I want to face challenges. I don’t want to stay still.

The Man: Then go. Take the bus. But know where it leads.

Me: The sea. I want to see the sea.

A gust of wind. A low hum of an engine. My eyes dart to the corner of the street—and there it is. A bus. It stops in front of me. Doors open, inviting.

Spinning into existence on a quiet, singular day.
A hypnotic drift through broken light and breathing shadows.
Fragments of time spiral outward, caught between echoes and dreams,
born when the stars stood still for just a moment longer.

This early chapter in the Æthelverse explores themes of journey, both physical landscapes and internal emotional voyages. Finding moments of beauty or connection amidst complexity, the resilience of the human spirit in changing or challenging environments, and the quiet wonder of observing the world. Hope, longing, reflection, quiet anxiety about the future, framed within settings that feel touched by an underlying, almost invisible force of nature or progress. Pondering the interplay of memory and anticipation, the tension between seeking external adventure and finding internal peace. With clear, expressive vocals, layered with lush, harmonies and atmospheric and narrative depth, treating the voice as another instrumental colour within the ensemble. The mixed mode shares reflective code and the true tone grows through.
