In October 1990 Coventry made dance music history...

That first Saturday night/Sunday morning experience was put on at the former Granada Bingo Hall in Lower Ford Street,Coventry,England.

The bingo hall had now been transformed into a 4 floored nightclub, and was also voted the best nightclub in the country in 1991 by fellow ravers through DJ Magazine. With a chill out space including a cinema on the ground floor, a second floor room enough to hold 500 people, and the main room on the top floor holding over a 1000 people including the balcony.

Every Friday and Saturday night would be filled by clubber's and raver's from all over Britain..

Act's such as :The Prodigy, K Klass, SL2, Altern 8, Moby, Shades of Rhythm and LFO all passed through it's door's with live p.a. set's.

Top dj's such as, The great grooverider,carl cox,sasha,frankie bones,Micky finn,top buzz etc,all graced the decks on a reguar basis,and two hour set's were the norm.

February 94,the club was closed.

At the time of closing more than one million people had passed through its doors and it had a standing membership of 74,000. .

ECLIPSE TRIBUTE MIX (VOLUME 1 ) - SHOCK C

Old bloke who was brought up on reggae music from a toddler and still love reggae today.
 As a teenager the rave seen broke out into the uk fields, warehouses ect. Which I totally loved and I was already throwing reggae parties and acid house parties on So started partying at raves and we also used to hold a few small dos ourselves

Started playing the decks in 89 when my mate would let me on his decks lol and my love of playing music just keeps growing, we were playing out at local venues and just having fun trying to make some tunes and generally enjoying life with the help of music.

Now days I just play for fun and make a few tunes now and again, just recently I have started remixing dub reggae which is great fun

I have tons of vinyl mainly house ranging from 1986-1997 and a lot of hardcore on vinyl around 1991 era, any new tunes I buy now are all digital unfortunately but it is what it is.

I also have a lot of reggae on vinyl 

I still buy old tunes on vinyl to add to my collection
