We recently discovered the German collective through their top notch compilation "Slow Cuts EP" made of original new music highly inspired by early 90's stuff, from new jack to obscure instrumental hip hop! Then we investigated their 'Super Sound Global Edits Vol. 1' which brought us to propose them to be featured on our series! As a result, we received this funky tribal progressive house gem! Having featured on the Diamonds in the Night series with the epic “Midnight Opera”, it was only a matter of time before Lukas Zeringis, better known as Zakmina, had his own 12” on Bordello A Parigi. Following appearances on Correspondant, Future Boogie and XXX, the Lithuanian born musician arrives with two tracks that break the mould. A speeding rhythm sees “For U” race out of the stocks. Bright strings arc before a generous break and this old-school rave anthem reveals itself in all of its brazen glory. Glowsticks at the ready for this seven minute romp into sweaty ecstasy. The flip is inhabited by a completely different animal. “Take Me Back” comes to life with blissful notes before rasping rhythms give way to a rumbling arpeggiator. Sailing strings are countered by squalid acid undercurrents as Zeringis finds a sweet spot between braindance bleep and soulful electronics. A seriously strong debut.

The noises were echoing and reverberating down the hall - it was dark as he moved slowly past each room glancing inside to see if they might be the source of the strange and mysterious sounds. There was a fog which lingered in the air and the floor was sticky beneath. This was the spot all right.

Shadows moved passed him in the corridor, dark faces illuminated only by the occasional flicker and flash of lights from somewhere up above.

This was the sort of place that his parents had warned him about, the sort of place which stank of trouble. Perhaps that was what he had been looking for all along...

DEEWEE is always a force to be reckoned with. Leftfield dance music drawing from a sprawling array of influences make up the tapestry of this unique and innovative record label. Phillipi is a musician who has featured prominently on the label previously and now returns with a new EP which showcases a mixture of Proto - House, EBM and Slo-Mo sounds.

After his impressive first EP with MTT, he has actively engaged in deejaying alongside the crew and contributed a track to the label's compilation project. Breaking new ground with this 10th EP, Sim Fossil presents the label's first 4-track mini-album, providing a deeper dive into his diverse range of influences beyond disco, newbeat and ambient. The release features a fusion of styles, but states a true definition of Sim Fossil's sound between saturated samples and percussive melodies.

On the first tracks "Marimba Desert" and "Course d’Amour," Sim Fossil continues to build upon the foundation laid by his previous "Body Contact" EP.
