If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. Im Zwielicht

Shortened version of my latest EP "Never Let You Go". This EP features new and different versions of my song Never Let You Go.

The first track is the "alternative version" of the song, with different lyrics to the original song.

There is a "classic" 1980s type 12-inch extended version of the song, along with a dub version, in the style of my remixes for Pitch Black and Tom Bailey.

I wrote the song for my wife's birthday. She's definitely the perfect mother and perfect wife.

The song has already been played on the radio in the UK and round the world. It was described as tragic and a heartbreaker!

It marks a move away from my previous chillout and dub styles to a more new wave and synthpop style which is inspired by my love of bands like OMD, Kraftwerk, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode and other bands that started out in the 1980s.

A new year, a new single! A good Hengles tradition is still going strong. They bring you Flashes Of Green. A new entry to their epic, eclectic history tour. This time it is a fusion between Rock, Pop, Psychedelia and Eastern mysticism. You know you can’t miss it!

Influenced by more than 60 years of British and American pop music, The Hengles manage to blend this into their own style and give proof of their skill in writing and recording melodic, catchy pop songs with a twist.

"Yellow and Grey" recalls Mistrust's recent train journey to Port Sunlight (the historic workers' village in Wirral, UK), on the ageing yellow and grey trains that pass through the village. These trains are being replaced by shiny new modern trains which are also yellow and grey! Hence the line "Yellow and Grey is here to stay!" The song's overall themes are nostalgia and new beginnings!

"Yellow and Grey" includes a line from the poem "From a Railway Carriage" by Robert Louis Stevenson (can you spot it?), and there's also a nod to the classic Kraftwerk song "Trans Europe Express" with Mistrust recording a German language version of Yellow and Grey ("gelb und grau") which is released alongside the original song.

Both songs are taken from Mistrust's forthcoming album which is out in Spring 2023.

Tim Blackburn, the UK singer-songwriter and remixer who records as Mistrust, is back with a new single called "Yellow and Grey". It marks his first new material since the release of his single "Never Let You Go" last year.
