The Sky Is The Limit (When You Die)

I like Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, Dead or Alive, Eurythmics, David Bowie, Portishead, Westworld, Jane Child, Information Society, Sting and Robert Palmer.

Vocally my inspirations are David Gilmour, Chris Rea, Peter Gabriel, Leonard Cohen, Seal, Andrew Eldritch, Johnny Cash, David Bowie, Alison Moyet, Sting, Nick Cave, Tanita Tikaram, Jace Everett and Tunde Baiyewu.

This is my main channel for releasing songs. I'm a hobby musician with a busy life, but I also have a lot of songs already written which I'm eager to record and publish here over the next few months. I own countless synthesizers, a guitar, a drum machine, a good mic and a very wide range of virtual instruments which I use to build music within Cubase 8 Pro. My hope for these songs is that someone somewhere will like them so much that they'll want to cover them and/or remix them, thereby giving my music a new life outside my little bubble. Maybe one day one of them will make it big :) For now I'm happy with every click I get, so if you're listening to one of my songs while reading this: Thank you!

Welcome to the crux of this matter. Inspired by Eva Cassidy, Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morissette, Alicia Keys, India.Arie, Monica Heldal and more, I enjoy the effort of making it all ones' own: lyrics and chords, playing the piano whilst singing myself. Songs are recorded straight on my very first digital piano (*proudgoose*); Yamaha DGX660. Aspire to be a dusty old road you're happy to find, from my little student studio in Oslo.
Ever since I first heard  Janis Joplin's 'Mercedes Benz', my guilty pleasure music fetish has been to record my songs in one-takes, as a romanticized echo of the old days. If they made do, I should too. This means I'd rather post flawed, full takes than the best chopped-up pieces from different ones for now. There's a beauty in that too. PS: All comments always appreciated!
