From the coming album, 'Cure for Tarantism'. I'm slowly eeking out these tunes that I've labor-of-loved for 3 years. This song was the first completed and the least messed with: It happened fast and with very little fuss. Appropriately, as it's inspired by the uncomplicated, unrelenting joy I shared with the girl who will forever make me feel never-quite-lonely. Even as a spectral once-was, she remains a forever-is, and unlike our bodies that inevitably crumble in time, our love will never die.

Another song from my coming album, 'Cure for Tarantism'. This one inspired by, written for, & dedicated to my first found soulmate & the girl I loved as a child, & evermore. Still, the best friend I've ever had. I miss her every day. Besides walking, dancing, & laughing beside me, she was the most beautiful, talented, silly, loving, & wise spirit I've ever known. Dead at 16, she lives on through those of us who love her, & for me, she lives in every single thing of beauty I create. <3

Song built upon improvisations. 1997. Used a "haunted" 360 Systems keyboard, very odd, for example: the timpanis, which I found EXCELLENT, only sounded some of the time, and if memory serves, had no particular setting. I vowed to take advantage of them when I could, and this song resulted.

My tools include: vocals, keys, synths, bass, guitar, computer hardware/software, words, found objects, dreams, sound effects, field recordings, analog tape, electro and musical acoustics, pain, love, hope, fear, prophecy. I also write for instruments I do not play (such as chamber).

Recipient of the Kennedy Center's ACTF award for 'Excellence in Sound Design' (in theater). Multiple sound & music theatrical scholarships & fellowships. Award-winning, published short fiction author. 
As Octobuse: Semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Octobuse also featured in The Guardian's music section.
